I just had to show y'all pics of these pumpkins so I made a small blog just to do it!! I also threw in a few of my favorite cows, in a really pretty pic of our lower field. When I see this kind of picture I feel so blessed to be able to live here.

Great pics Arlene! My goodness, that musta been some special manure combo you used to grow them to this size! Great fun, isn't it?

How fun! My daughter just said she wants a cow so that she can ride it.. Living in town however, think it would be frowned upon. I would like to raise pumpkins sometime. Maybe I should start with the little ones as I don't have much room. Could you trellis the small ones?

Arlene -- thanks for sharing the pics. How fun!! I love the pic of your pasture with the cows. You must have used lots of that manure on the pumpkins & squash!

I'm still hot...it just comes in flashes.

Arlene, Loved the pics! Now I know I will be using my Dexter poop to grow pumpkins next season! Your bounty is amazing!

Wow! They look great! What kind of hubbard did you grow? I grew Baby Blues. I've never grown the dark green you have. You must have excellent soil!

Julia, you can trellis pumpkins. I had Luminas growing up a tree last year. When the leaves starting falling off it looked quite comical. Luminas are white.
