Are most people making the faded antique colors? Just curious. Like maroon, yellowed or tanned for the white?

I'm crocheting mine, 'cause yours b/4 was so cute, and using a varigated yarn called "Faded Glory"~the red, white and blue are just that~muted.

My colors are white and red and blue, dd's were more what I call Americana, that is the tan, or more off white and muted red. Hope that made sense. Ahhh bummer Steph, we don't have that many this time, pretty pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

yes.. I think thats what I'm going with Linda..

Honestly though..I have to admit..I'm really being a slacker & have not even started mine yet!!!

Joshua's Graduation is this Week.. & Butch's 50th Birthday!!

So.. I 've had a few things going on.. Not to mention Jeffrey trying to send me to the Nut House.. & My Sister Kelly.. who I'd like to Sell to a not so Nice Man that would make her wear a Burka & see how she like that life change.. Crazy woman..

But then.. Thats My fun as of late..

Kathie..wanna trade sisters....I'll bet good money (or yoyos or aprons) that you'd want yours back. You can even choose between the useless druggie who is putting my stepmom into her grave or the wacko one who has her head in the sand about everything but herself.
Statement Sylvia Browne made Saturday night...whether one believes in psychics or not....any person, relative or not, that is not worth the time and energy spent on them should be eliminated from your life...not forever, as in killing them (which has been a thought), but just mentally remove them from your life and you'll be happier for it.

Sylvia had a really toxic mother and that plagued her for a long time until she did just that. People think that because we're related by DNA that we are somehow beholden to them, regardless of how disrespectfully we get treated by them. I think it's good advice, but that's just what works for me. Easier said than done, of course.

Personally, I'm kinda glad the # count is low this time around~not as daunting a feat to get them going.

Happy 1/2 Century to Butch!!! And of course it's the Queen of the NiteGarden's birthday in a week!!! yippeee!!

Bonne, most people seem to have some degree of 'dysfunction' in the family, but many will not admit it. Someday, when the timing is right, I will tell my birth sister (the one who repeatedly told me as a child that I was adopted and wasn't loved as much as she was) how mother rejected her at the end. They butt heads from the time my sister was very young and I was always the peacemaker, which got really old. Mother told me many times that I would have no regrets when she was gone, since I did all I could and took care of her the last few years.
I believe all we are today is the result of where we've been. Sylvia just validated what I already knew.
Nasty weather for a lot of the farmgirls, about time for it to level out I would think.

Well this sister sounds like a combination of the two you descrobed Ronna.. crazy huh???

ish.. I am willing her away.. far.. far away..

Hmmmmm.. that little saying brings to mind a Movie i started to watch last nite but didn't quite have to time to get into just yet.. 7 I want to be able to give my total undivided time to!
I think it's "Tinman" or "Tinmen" like a modernized Oz.. not to be confused with the movie with Danny Devito that was about the Guys selling Aluminum Siding.. That was great too.. but this one just looks way too good to not get to sit down & be able to soak it all in.. I can't wait..!

But yes.. i agree.. there's a certain amount of dysfuntion in every family.. isn't there.. some just more then others..
& I Do hate being made to feel that just because there's that blood tie.. we are obligated to do things that we would never ever.. EVER do otherwise.. .. I hate the feeling it leaves me..

& you know..sometimes...well most really it's undeserved..isn't it..

Friends are the family you choose....Until/unless they start to act like the blood relatives and then we have to delete them from our lives too. Wouldn't be nice if we could just use the delete button like on the keyboard? Zap and they're gone!

Well Kaelly, you have joined. NOw all you need to do is make enough mini aprons for every girl on the list plus one for MaryJane. We always send a set to the farm, so they can see all the fun we are having. And MaryJane and Meg are sweeties. So just make up a set of mini aprons about the size of the palm of your hand. There is no wrong way, you are the artist...just keep your apron strings long enough so you can tie em all together in the end. YOu will need to mail them to Kathie in Florida somewhere around the date due on page 1. Any questions?

Okay I finished 3 aprons last night, and am ready to do more today, they are turning out a lot cuter that I imagined, I made my own pattern because I couldn't find one. anyone have a mini apron pattern? that would make it easier. Thanks Kelly
