Hey, I've got a gift certificate for Joann's to spend (Mother's Day)~does that mean fabric shopping for patriotic mini's? Or should I take a stab at crocheting them~I've got a cone of "Faded Glory" yarn in the proper colors. I just love the crocheted mini's we've gotten in the past.

Whale blubber to render.. NONE of those will work..
(Hows that Bonne..? I was runing out of really lame excuses.. So i went North & decided I needed to shut up after i came to the whale blubber rendering!)

Ok girls..I'm biting on this one. I found a piece of patriotic fabric yesterday in my stash that has 1991 on the selvage. It screams mini-aprons and plus I gotta commemorate my one year anniversary on the forum which is TOMORROW and of course my birthday, July 2, is always overshadowed by Independence Day...go figure!!. And I did one mini-apron swap right after I joined last year. So sign me up!! And Jess maybe you'll get that other apron I owe you from a YEAR ago..ROTF

Started us off Nice & Patriotic like too!
Folkie Red , Blue & Creamy off White with a Creamy ribbon for a Waist band.. Looks Very Early American to me! Also added on a Lace trim to Boot Girls!!

sorry jess but i got on a roll and went with it, i even tea dyed the lace(first time that i have ever tea dyed and boy was it fun)
kathie whale blubber.... really you couldnt come up with anything else that was more creative... lol
oh and i may have changed my mind about the birthday minis, dang nam it(i am hook lined and sinkered..) i am gonna get who ever came up with this idea cause it turns ya into a lunny tune.
jess ya think ya can whip out those aprons faster then me, i bet ya can things are gonna get hectick here fast with a ballet recital, kindergarten graduation, girlscout campout, school field day and doc appointments and everything else that i have forgotten.
oh yeah and one last thing with my spring aprons the lace flower was actually sewn on as a pocket, but i totally forgot to put my name on them go figure...
