hello gals
I am sitting here with Oliver on my lap (back to the one hand typing, sorry for any typos) enjoying the wonderful aromas of my thanksgiving meal. I am cooking turkey, roast pork, mashed sweet potatoes, asparagus, maple syrup glazed carrots with slivered almonds, baked acorn squash...and for dessert turtule pumpkin pie, and mincemeat pie (I bought the mincemeat pie)to drink, yummy cranberry apple mulled cider.....oh, yes, I made cranberry sauce too, I put diced candied ginger in it this year for change
We will have 8 or 9 for supper mostly friends. everyone brings something, salad or rolls and someone always brings wine...
Anyway....I've matched up the swap partners
DUTCHY KMBROWN
LIVINGWELL4YOU SOAPMOMMY60543

sooooo just click onto your patners screen name and send her your info...happy swapping
I will post that turtle pumpkin pie recipe in few days for those of you that would like it....it is very easy, no bake too!
Happy thanksgiving from Canada (although I know yours is later:)

Ann, my hubby just walked in with a big smil and said, "There's something special for you in the mail!" It was your recipes and special is an understatement. What pretty recipe cards! Ladies, the recipe was typed and glued on the prettiest handmade recipe cards, each one is different and prettier than the others. Ann, you're doing what I dream of but never can pull off.

I had to smile when I saw the "Chard with Onions and Currants" recipe. I just bought chard yesterday for the first time. It's already planned for another recipe though (the "Eggs in a Nest" recipe in Barbara Kingsolver's book, Animal, Vegetable, Miracle). I wanted to get it because we're thinking of planting it in the garden next year but it would be nice to know if we like it before we plant a bunch. Now I have another recipe to try it with so will get some more next time I'm at the store.

Thanks so much - it made my day.

FYI: I've been reading your stashaholics post and oh boy, am I there too. Will be posting on it soon - still getting caught up from being away from home over a week. You can imagine what the house looks like now - oh wait, don't go there! It's too scary!!!

God bless -

Glad they came safe and sound, and that you enjoyed them. I had a lot of fun trying to make them all different but still go together.

If anyone else wants to see them, they are posted in my gallery on scrapbook.com:

Also, and this is for anyone who else who is interested, speaking of chard... Saw the prettiest container garden the other day, and guess what the tall greens were that the "planter" used as a background for the smaller flowers? That's right! Chard!!! I actually called my husband from my cell phone in the parking lot I was so excited! So guess what's goin in our containers next spring...

Have a great night everyone!

Ann, I ended up trying the Chard recipe tonight and it was great. Didn't have currants on hand so made it without but hubby came in said, "OOO! Something smells good!"

hey Florina
Sorry it has taken me so long to reply....no computer for weeks now. Whew...lots of e-mails to catch up on!!:)
So how this works is, I'll be getting another swap going soon, adn you will be matched up with a recipe partner. you private message them and send them your address. they will do the same. you then send out at least 3 preferably handwritten recipe card and wait for yours:)

hi ladies....I'll give the rest of the week for people to sign up. I have heard from a few ladies that they haven't heard from their partners...not sure what to say to that as I just contacted my partner the other day LOL!!! I'm sure it will all work out, but it sure is nice to have yummy new recipes!
Just a thought....maybe for the next swap, we could have a wee bit of a theme and send our partners some holiday recipes...just an idea:)

I Can't wait until the next swap.
Absolutely love the idea of a holiday swap but would you gals like to stick to meals vs. deserts.
Don't know about all of you but I'm up to my eyeballs in sweet recipes.
Just a thought.
