Had a real bad headache up the back of my neck the last few days and went to er (alone). They gave me IV dulaudid for pain. Glands behind head and all around me neck swollen from mono. Also gave me prednisone for a few days. Had to call hubby to come get me - he was not happy - I did a lot of crying today- I need rest and need hubby to go back to work, he is home on vacation this week and it is like having Dennis the Menace home with me, not a good thing. I think I get migranes like my sister did and er dr said I need to have evaluated by neuro so I don't suffer with them. If he only knew the stress level in my house. It was a bad day but I am now home alone in my bed with my two best cats near me, I know I will be fine - need to hone up on my coping skills. is all - send me your love gals, and patience, I must learn patience and I need to let his negativity and ill treatment of me roll off me like water rolls off a duck.

Kathy, I hope yuou are felling better soon. Mono does make you so tired. My daughter had it and she needed alot of sleep and rest. It depends on how long you have had it when it is diagnosed as to how long it lasts. It took her about 3 weeks of at home serious resting to get better.Get your rest and I hope your stress levels are better soon also.

Ahhhhh Kathy, mono......yes had it my senior year. You need rest and to take the best care of yourself that you can.
The tired, sore throat and swollen glands......difficult at 18 would be a major bummer as a result.

So sorry you had such a stressful day, and the headache must have been awful if you felt you had to go to the ER. Get some rest.Put yourself first once.

taking one day at a time. Hardly any sleep last night but took a sleeping pill this am and got a little - hubby got my meds at drugstore, pred and dilaudid - have not taken a pain pill yet, will probably take one near bed time to see if it makes me sleepy. Getting it via iv gave me a creepy feeling. Up a little today was going to try to get back to me dr for after hospital visit but could not get in. Better luck tomorrow. Pray for sleep for me tonight I am tired.

Thinking of you, Kathy, and hoping you get the rest you need...and with mono, you surely need rest. Don't do more than you can, and sleep...it's the best way we can heal ourselves.
