I know I'm not supposed to advertise here, but I've got a friend who started an online yarn store specializing in socially/environmentally conscious yarns.

Here's the site, if you're interested.

A very nice site! I've bookmarked it.

If I ever get finished with the project I'm on now, I'll buy my next yarn from her. Looks great! Thanks for letting us know.

*sigh of relief* I was afraid I'd get in trouble for advertising. Seeing as how her site goes along with the general tenor of this board, and how my friend can always use the business, I thought it was a great idea to put you ladies in touch with her.

Amanda, I wouldn't worry yourself about the advertising. Your not pushing it on anyone. I think it's great to let everyone know about such things. Someone may find something they've been looking for, for years. It's a nice site.

Besides that, I'd rather support somebody with a small business anyday. Especially a fellow Farmgirl!!

Happy Wishes!

Thanks! I will let my friend know that she has been made an honorary farmgirl. Actually, she's the one in most of the pictures of the stuff you can shop for on the website. She's the one with the dark hair. Her name is Kia and she lives in Seattle. I met her summer of 2001 when we were both training to teach English in China.

Thank you for sharing the site! I try to support sustainable and eco-friendly businesses, and this looks like an excellent source. Rock!
