I was at the thrift this morning, there wasn't much that caught my eye today until I was about to leave. Then I saw this bag of Fall decorations. Don't really need those now I said to myself, but then I don't have anything else so why not just put them away until fall. So I was surprised when I got it home and found all the good stuff in it.DAVE helped me with the picture. Jack was sleeping. NANCY JO

I agree with Judy--that Dave sure can pull off a headress better than any other bear I know!!!
Cool fall finds--hope you remember where you put them when Autumn rolls around :)

Dave is looking quite sharp in his headdress. I love the little tepees, you must have a fairy godmother donating at that thrift store...I'm trying to keep away from the local junkstore that is my favorite. I've at least got to clear some boxes out of my car before i try to put anything else in there. The barn is getting kind of overwhelmed here, and some of the other rooms are looking overloaded as well. It is hard to resist all these treqasures, sometimes i find things i know a friend would love, but I think there is something special in lots of these little items. it would be nice if someone attacched a little story to some of them, since they don't I sometimes make one up...oops, blathering again, back to garden ppatrol for me...Karin

I think I had some of the same stuff when I was a kid. They sold it at the gift shop in Allegany State Park in the mid-80s. I recognize the headress and the tomahawk as being much like those, at least. The little teepees and canoe might have come from the Allegany Reservation. I think we used to buy things like that at the Falling Leaves Festival in Salamanca. One of my favorite dolls from when I was little came from there. |
