Wondering if you have any opinions on 3 things....

1. Henry County, KY - specifically Cambellsburg area

2. Louisville - where would be the most desirable place to live within Jefferson County?

3. Oldham County - are the schools really substantially better than Jefferson or Henry county?

Well, I'm going to say, a) Talk to Janice (Miss Bee Haven); b) Talk to Janice (Miss Bee Haven) and c) Talk to Janice (Miss Bee Haven) :)

She knows Louisville like the back of her hand. I personally LOVE the parts of Louisville I've been to, but it all depends on how you want to live there....small farm, downtown in an old brownstone, eclectic areas off Bardstown Road...

From the tax base in Oldham, I'm going to say their schools must be pretty good, but better than Jefferson or Henry, don't know. Jefferson county is big--and has some urban population, as well. Henry is smaller and more rural.

Yoo hoo, Janice (Miss Bee Haven) - I need you......

We are getting closer to "decision day". We will be making a trip in June to look at possibilites. Whether or not our house sells here determines how much equity we will have to work with.

It sounds flaky, but I have no idea "how I want to live there". Right now we have land and horses, and though we love it, we are open to changes.

My "home sick from school daughter" is begging to fix my hair....so ta ta for now.

Janice, I know this is a busy weekend for you - but maybe next week, could you recommend a real estate agent for the Louisville area?

Initially, we are going to find a place to rent for the summer - so as to get our feet wet with exploring the area. If our house doesn't sell by the end of summer, the kids and I will be back in MI for when school starts. My husband will be able to do some work in MI and some in KY.

What a place of transistion we are in. We just decided yesterday that I won't be doing the local farmer's market for the first time in years. It is hard to let it go, but I don't want to be tied down to a summer in MI when my husband will be in KY for work. I do though, have MI weddings lined up for the summer, and will be returning home for those. I'm also finding a place for our mini horses to reside for the summer.

I'm excited for this new adventure, decisions are being made and we are trusting our Father with every step!

You know, we've been told that the friendliest people live in Kentucky. I have to believe it! Miss Wilma, thank you so much for the offer. (Miss Frannie too). I'm doing quite a bit of research and hope to have some clarity soon. In the meantime, the lady that I bought our minis from is talking to her husband about keeping the boys for us for 7-8 weeks this summer. She even offered to start training them. I guess we have some pretty great people in MI too :)!
