My name is Tammy, and I share a story with many of my friends who are in their seventies and older: I am the eldest of eleven children and I grew up without running water. My family raised a good chunk of their own food, and being out in the bush alone at night hits me only as boring and uncomfortable if I don't have bug repellant. I currently live in the capitol city of Alberta, which has a wonderful amount of trees and a river valley that is made according to a country girl's heart.
I'm a writer, and have one book published in paperback and another original story going up on the net (both are Christian Westerns). I still run around in jeans and 'work' shirts, because they're the only thing that is really comfortable.
Er, can't think of anything else to say, as the shyness is kicking in and I'm ready to bolt now.
God bless!

Welcome Tammy! You sound like you have a rich and fascinating life...and lots of good stories to share with us! There are quite a few Canadian farmgirls on this site! So glad you found us and look forward to hearing more about you, and the beauty of Alberta. Jenny from Kansas

Welcome Tammy, Tell us about your books! I'm with you about jeans and workshirts, I have the luxury to wear them to work except when I need to go see some of the customers. Enjoy the forum! KarenP

Thanks, guys ^_^
Comfy clothes at work? w00t! as some of my webkids would say.
Alberta is muchly beautiful, even with an early autumn and yellow and golden leaves everywhere and frost on the rooftops.
As I say, my two stories that are published or webpublished are Christian Westerns with sassy main characters. The one in paperback is the story of a single mom on the run from her past, from God, and from the people who want to take her daughter away from her. The story starts when she can't run anymore.
The other story was written for one of my younger sisters (I've got eight) when she was going through her horse phaze. It's full of the gorgeous creatures that you only see in Western novels, lol.
There's a link to the web story and to a picture of my novel on my homepage. There are also links to all the 'fan' fiction I've been messing with lately (or at least the stuff I've gotten typed. I'm a handwriter).

You said it, Julia! ^_^ I wouldn't be here if not for Him.
Oh, it occured to me that I should have mentioned in my original post that though I share that story with friends in their seventies and eighties, I myself am 32.
God bless!
