I really have to think about this one hmmmm.....I'll get back with you when I come up with something that describes me (going to be hard to pin point myself).........However, my son had a celebration a few years back and he used the song "Wind Beneath my Wings" to describe my Dear Hubby and I!! Loved it! It felt really good and brought tears to my eyes at the time....still kinda does when I think about it cause we are really proud of the kind of kid (grown up now) he is!

Today? Put Your Shoulder to the Wheel! lol We dug up the lower end of the garden, put in a lovely mix of peat moss, moo-nure and organic garden soil, and planted a potato bed. It's a new-to-me way of planting them. We put the potatoes in and covered them with about 18 inches of wheat straw. Hopefully it will be successful. The chickens experienced their first bites of earthworm today, and I believe they liked it! Ew.

Karin....Put Your Shoulder to the Wheel is my favorite..and described me on Saturday for sure...today it was more like "On the Road Again"..it has been a busy day with the kids!!!

It's been a long time, but we used to plant potatoes that way. Very easy to dig in the fall!
Now we have sooo many deer and turkeys around our house. Maybe someday again. Ardis quote:

I do love (occasionally!) those saturdays pulling up to the sandbar with our boat and just eating, drinking and playing loud music/partying....i love snorkeling....just looking at all the fish and sea creatures. then there is the other me......"the south's gonna do it again" by charlie daniels....some good old rock-n-roll!! neither song is "deep", meaningful or spiritual i suppose, but what can i say? i'm blonde!! |

The song by Trisha Yearwood "The Song Remembers When" always reminds me of my young days. There was a time when I rode through the Rockies, and sang to a song on the radio, and it did seem like Eden was just around the bend. I love that song. Here is part of it:
