Hello All! I'm a new Farmgirl convert and new to this site! Just checking things out tonight. I've got my Lifebook on order and I'm ready for gardening season. I share my small patch of ground with my family, two dogs, two birds, two rats, four cats, a tank of guppies, one rooster, ten hens and too many goldfish, both inside and out, to count! Looking forward to new friends and learning much!

Welcome Shannon! WV is my favorite place on earth. I was born there and those mountains are still in my blood. I never feel quite at home until I'm back.
You are going to LOVE your Lifebook. I just never get tired of browsing it for new inspiration and encouragement. And I think you'll love it here too. So many sweet farmgirl friends to meet and share with!

Welcome Shannon. I just know you will love it here...it will be fun to get to know you! You mentioning your guppies reminds me of my grandma's house when I was little. She had a huge fishtank full of guppies and whenever someone came to visit she always would send them home with a quart canning jar full of guppies to take home..whether they liked it or not. She always had them my whole childhood and it was a sad day when she finally gave the tank to one of my cousins. I think she was just tired after years of finding homes for all those babies!!!

Hi, Shannon. Sounds like you have a full house! :) What kind of birds do you have? My dh and I take care of a Moluccan Cockatoo that currently lives at his animal shelter. Someday, we hope to bring her to live with us.

I have a Double Yellow Headed Amazon parrot named Jolly Mon and a "rescued from the ground" European Starling named Dixie. Moluccan's are great birds! So pretty! I hope she gets to come home with you!

Welcome to the forum, Shannon! Sounds like you have great menagerie there! How much fun! Do your chickens lay eggs or are they too young/old?

Welcome. I love the variety of animals you have! LOL We have 3 indoor cats, and 3 outdoor right now. (More seem to show up as they tell each other about my weakness for cats!).

Hi Alee! My hens are four years old...and their eggs have gotten smaller, but they are still going strong...I'm getting about 6-8 eggs a day from ten hens...not bad, for girls that are getting old! I love them all dearly and they all have names. Needless to say, they are very spoiled!
