The copy that i have is 1968 .. but Russell Conwell delivered this public lecture more than 6,000 times from 1877 until his death in 1925. In book form it has been a popular american classic since it first saw print.
Conwell himself earned SEVERAL MILLION DOLLARS from it .. (and that's a lotta dollars back in that time!)

Russell Consell exemplified the principles he proclaimed. During his long life he was a soldier, school teacher, newspaper correspondent, lawyer, lecturer, Baptist Minister and the Founder of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Born in 1843 --- BEFORE THE CIVIL WAR!!! ... in the Eastern Berkshire mountains of Massachusetts. He grew up among hady New Englanders who wrested a living from the rocky land. His father's fanatic relgious attitudes affected the young man negatively.

He did not long remain so. He was transformed by a harrowing war experience.

I was reading over my Simple Abundance book, and I flipped the book open, and didn't I land right on the page where she was talking about Acres of Diamonds. I was so surprised. It does sound like a good book. I will get a copy. I love, that no matter how many times you read a book, you can go back and something new jumps out at you.
