hi.. i am still pretty new here and trying to understand all the "lingo". i sometimes see the phrase "sorry to bump but..." or words to that effect. what is bumping?

Bumping is when you make a post on a topic to bring it to the top of the page, I think, at least that is how I use it. I hope that this helps

Yes, what Annika said. Sometimes a good topic gets pushed down the list and someone will bump it to get more attention to it.

Simply type "bump" in the body of a message and post it..keeps the topic at the top of a page.
