Hi Sheila, I haven't heard from anyone else yet. I could rush off a pkg with some dresses. I made one that looks like a nightgown, so you can tell her that is what it is. I like it. :-)
In the meantime I'll work on some pics for you. I only have packages from you and Robin. I would also suggest contacting email to Jess (smoothiejuice) because she is good at taking pics, maybe she will have something to show ya.

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These are lovely! My daughter is SOOOOOOOO excited about it all! It's not often you bring a just turned 8 year old to tears of joy! The dresses are beautiful, and the shawl. . .well. . .absolutely super!! Here are two pics, one from when she opened them and one as she got her ready for bed.

Thank you for all the effort to help make her birthday so special.

bumping this topic up...
How is everyone doing? I can't wait to see more dresses.
I made a couple who are not with apron/pinafores....more dressy. One is all black blouse and skirt with lace. The other one is small print browns with skirt, bonnet, bolero and nice blouse. Linda

SUGGESTION/IDEA for this doll
I would like to start the next topic for American Girl size accessories. I could made a deadline for signups and wouldn't matter how many...even if 2 of us.
some suggestions to swap handmade are:
1. hat
2. shoes (I'd make them by using a shoe for pattern and felt.
3. purse
4. blanket or quilt and pillow

perhaps you have more ideas!
Give me some input before it is decided to start the swap!

Actually Carmen made that one, and in the purse is a pencil and notebook as well.

Hi all --- I've been totally out of it because of continuing health problems with the baby (he's fine, but has to see LOTS of doctors which is a real time sink). SO glad that Jess's daughter got her outfits in time for her birthday -- and my daughter was delighted to see the outfits "we" made making another little girl so happy :D

I think I'll have to skip the accessories swap since my sewing time is nil right now. But I'll check back for the next one for sure.

Best,

Robin

We got Carmen's outfit today, and my daughter LOVES it! She especially liked the notebook/pencil ("it's a REAL pencil, mom!!")and the tiny clothespins and little hairbands too! She's loving it.

I asked her what she thought about another swap and she wants to help me out next time, her suggestion was sunbonnets (she does love these, wears them all the time in the summer herself)

cool! this is how it works. I am so glad we are doing this.
Sunbonnets are a great idea. Let's start the accessories swap after this one is completed.

I was sick and in the hospital for a few days so I'm not quite yet done with my 6 dresses. The ones I have are nice though.

Well i really had fun reading all these posts and seeing some beautiful doll clothes. i love dolls, but I don;t have any any more. I like to make rag dolls, I think my daughter may still have the ones I made for her when she was little. Maybe I'll be able to get in some doll adventures. What fun!
Jess , I love the dolly you made for your two yesr old, I bet she loves it too!

YOu know Robin, Linda has been sick, she has not been able to be online so much. She emailed me a few weeks ago and said she was going to send out to you and for me to just send out to you as well. So I asked her for your address, and I never heard back from her again. So I don't have her address or yours to send outfits to, so if you want to email me your address, I can send you the ones I have from Carmen and myself to you.

Hi Robin!
I am working on getting 4 outfits out to you and Jess (smoothiejuice) is sending 2 directly to you. Just like she explained. :-)
I know I have it here but you could send me your address quickly too.
So sorry for the delay. I am feeling better now and we'll get this finished up soon.

Linda,

I know this time of year is so busy, but I'd love to have the clothes for my daughter's birthday on the 29th (yes, December 29th). I will just take what I can get if you have anything at all there.

Best,

Robin
