can you tell me a little about it? Does it set flowers/seed heads? I'd like to know how to create more plants actually from the 3 plants I have. I found them at my local Kmart of all places..and my kids actually love chewing a leaf every now and then. I bought it to create my own teas. Added it to my herb garden, but really want to grow more of it every year.
So..any hints on being able to continually cultivate it would be great.

oh tina .. i had a large plant and babied it like a mother hen .. a sweet amish lady gave it to me. i don't remember flowers on it?? it's the only plant i brought in each winter .. but alas and alack .. last winter it 'bit the dirt' .. and did not come back!
i even got a book on growing it .. i haven't seen it for awhile .. sooo .. i'm sure it's under a thousand other books .. see what'cha can find by googling .. i'll bet there is some good info. i would like to get another plant!

Tina, I grew one as a houseplant. I had started new ones from cuttings. Unfortunately, my kitchen got too cold one winter (usually does) and I lost all of my stevia plants and tomato cuttings. But, they are easily propagated from cuttings.

Tina, google it. There are several places with information. I grow it for the sugar sub. you dried the leaves (and stems if you want). I buy the white powder for the sugar. the leaves are good too but I prefer the white powder. It runs somewhere around $50.00 a pound. HOWEVER you use 1 tsp of Stevia to 1 cup sugar and thats very affordable. Theres cookbooks out for it. I buy 1/2 to 1 ounce at a time. It does take a little adjusting, taste wise but not much. Yes, it does floweres. I get them for growing more.

Tina I grow it from seed every year and it germinates quite easily. I can get the seed here if you can't find it.

I'm thrilled to know that it grows from cuttings!I bought 3 plants of it at our kmart nursery...so I'll start taking cuttings and making more from it soon.And I'll watch it for flowers and seed heads.
