we had a humungous storm last night .. at 4:00 a.m. a CRACK of lightening hit so loud .. i woulda' swore it hit the 'tin' roof of the cabins or blew up one of the cars outside! i don't believe i've ever heard lightening as loud as that! the skies were flashing so bright you almost couldn't look into them. it passed over farily quickly .. but it has been steady raining .. and hank is outside building an ARK!

i do love the rain though!

It has been drizzling rain for a few days now and we finally are getting a break in the clouds! I am so happy! I hope you get sunshine the rest of the day, Frannie!

I love a good thunderstorm- but not one that wakes me up in the middle of the night! I like them in the early evening when I can sit in a chair and enjoy the raw power of nature booming and flashing over head!

Sometimes it is nice to go to sleep to a good thunderstorm as well- snuggle into a warm bed and listen to the crash and bang and smell that slight smell of ozone in the air! We get some doozies of thunderstorms in Wyoming during the summer!

Frannie- we had a crack of lightning like that last night too. It looked and sounded like it hit the big tree in the front yard. Both kids started crying. We have had rain for several days- the other day it had turned to snow and it's supposed to do the same today and tomorrow. It is very cold rain and yesterday we had very high winds. My birdfeeder is completely empty now. My ducks are the only happy critters on my farm!

Frannie--A group of us just returned from northwestern New Mexico--their average rainfall per year is only 8 inches in a good year. We have gotten that much in the last 3 weeks.

Hopefully we got the residual from that early this a.m. and the mountains will dissipate the rest.

For the moment we have had quite enough rain

My FIL's 'taters may rot!

tonight we are entetaining and I sure hope it doesn't rain! Just means no bon fire and everybody stuffed in the house
