do spices and birkenstocks count? Lately, roosters/chickens,things with bright fruit on them, like cherries, watermelons, grapes, and pressed tin. I get pigs for my boy, since he is year of the lucky, golden pig.

I collect scotties dogs,(including my favorite real one, Angus ) fairies and lately dust bunnies. LOL
I have a few tea cups too, from both of my Grandmas. I display a few with a funky tea pot my one Grandma made herself in a ceramics class. I switch them out once in a while.
Purses-the cute little frou-frou kind. Some I use, most I don't.
I used to collect lipsticks, but have since switched to using Alba Terra Tints lip balms to avoid all the bad chems used in lipsticks.
I have quite the fabric collection myself, and have vowed not to purchase anymore until my current supply is used up. I haven't purchased any since right after Christmas, which is amazing for me.
Don't miss out on a blessing, just because it isn't packaged the way you expected. ~MaryJo Copeland |

I collect old metal globes, the little bank ones and old kids' ones. Oh yes, and aprons, and potholders , and quilts and books and rocks and fabric and old china and what I think of as nightmare salt & pepper shakers (the worst ones are usually my favorites, catswearing clothes, demonic looking chefs, wood stumps, the worst of the worst) and I love old linens and state comerative plates, my all time favorite are mounties. I have three little Mountie plates I got in P.E.I.. So you are warned girls, this is what happens when you get old, you just keep collecting all this stuff and it can get overwhelming. It sure is fun though! Karin

I love pink hearts, roses , bears, tea pots and tea cups. fabric ( seems like I collect a lot of that, maybe I am wondering if there were a sortage or I was out of money, I would have some? TEE Hee) I love to collect embroidery patterns, like the Aunt Martha's or hot transfer books. I collect apron patterns Since the pattern companies are coming out with aprons of the past patterns I can collect those when the have pattern sales) Old needle work tools I have a small colection of thimbles. Oh, I seem to be collecting huge dust bunnies. I didn't have any interest what so ever in those Ha. Pinkroses

ALL Vintage fabrics, pillow ticking, embroidered and crocheted linens, barkcloth, chenille and hobnail bedspreads, tablecloths from the 1940's & 50's....
Vintage sewing patterns, booklets and transfers mostly for children and ladies accessories (including aprons) ....
Vintage Buttons of any and all sorts...
I love fancy handdyed ribbons, unspun wool, wool sweaters to recycle, fancy thrifted clothing to recycle, wool felt, beads, charms, vintage chandelier crystals....oh my!! all that sparkles and shines in this area...LOL
Vintage dishes, odd and ends, teacups, saucers....
There's probably more but that's off the top of my head..LOL
I've been collecting again for about 8 years but in my previous decades of traveling I've easily given away a half dozen households of collectibles and other fineries.
Steph
oops...forgot the book and pretty paper obsession!

I collect far too many things. Namely, transferware, crocks, treenware, quilts and colonial pewter. I did collect vintage dogs and vintage roosters, but have sold most of those. I have a bit of yellow ware and red ware, but not as much as I would like. I also love old woven coverlets from the 1800s and antique hooked rugs. I need about 30 houses for all my collections! LOL! I also have a huge collection of Old World Christmas Ornaments, which could be because Spokane is the hometown of Beth Mercks, who owns it! We have an outlet here and when I first started collecting, they were only $1.00 each. I love the ones that were made from truly old molds from Germany. Paper mache houses, deer and sheep also seem to keep finding their way to my house!
Hugs & blessings,
Brenda

I love old indian textiles and have a few really good ones. Old glass floats from fishing nets, I love the colors. I have thousands of buttons and want to start making button jewelry and hope to get the book (I have a BD coming up!) Beautiful Button Jewelry by Susan Davis. If you want to see some great ideas for your buttons check this book out. I love stained glass and hats. I am addicted to book stores, fabric stores and thrift stores and have to stay away when I am broke, which is too often. I too, have a woodstove and yes, when the woodstove season is over the dust season begins as I live on a dirt road but I don't try to collect it, it just happens, and there is so much more interesting things to do than dust. Some people look for happiness, others create it!
