OH I love this! I have made several and just love making them.
I'm in the last stages of "wedding-at-my-house-with-200-guests-in-10-days"
but should be in recovery phase in 11 days.  Can I still play???

sherri .. for the purposes here .. it's a little sewie .. usually to hold needles and/or pins. the colonial one is a 'circle wheel' where the pins ae inserted between two halves and are out of sight .. no sharp points to stick you!
a 'make-do' is really just about anything that has been 're-purposed' to 'make-do' for a purpose.

gurlz .. i can 'talk you through it' .. or .. i can send each of you a 'pattern' .. with NO directions .. those i will post here on the forum.
soooooooo .. ef'fen you wanna' play .. you can either just check the dimensions i give (and you truly can upsize or downsize) your 'pyn wheel' .. you can choose to use a new or vintage fabric .. they are soooooooooo EASY and soooooooooo cute! (i have a friend who sells these little teensies (with vintage fabric) for between $15 and $25 .. which will AMAZE you when you see how simple they are to do.
it 'seeeeeeeeeems' to me that i might have actually given these instructions on here before (or perhaps it was to my 'true friends' e-mail list????) but anyhoo .. we have enuff new gurlfrenz .. that it would be fun to do a 'do-over'. you TRULY don't need a pattern .. but if you are feelin' intimidated about making a CIRCLE .. HA! use the bottom of a drinking glass! well, if you trooooly need a pattern .. jus' send me a self-addressed, stamped envelope!
will start this class in a week or two. ohhhh .. i love doin' things like this!! even more so 'in person' .. wish you could all come to freedom valley farm for an 'in-person'.
IF all is well with my daughter kristen (still don't know .. she has to have a biopsy done .. and the jury is out on her honey and they have not yet announced a wedding date .. but she says it will be SPRINGTIME .. and i will head for delaware_ .. HOWEVER .. i was thinking today .. that 'if' all goes well . .i jus' might get a last-minute plane ticket for MOSCOW and join you kids. (i haven't had or taken the time to make 'dolly kits' ..
i could surely make some little colonial pyn wheel kits up for this little project if i can make it end of april .. beginning of may .. but it will indeed be a last-minute thingie! (and it takes less than an HOUR to complete one!
AND .. i'll just stay in a hotel in moscow .. and rent a car .. sooo .. if any of the gurlfrenz need a ride to town during the weekend .. i'll play chaueffeur .. but again .. this is all 'up in the air' right now.
