My auction jaunt made me really happy and I decided to actually utilize some of the linens and stuff that I have stored, or just not really "the focus" in my kitchen....so, here you go!

The kitchen "table"...we really don't eat there, it's too small (with all the dogs ) but I like to keep it dressed.

The corner where Finn sleeps (incidentally, my favorite corner with chickens from my gran's house that I remember from being little and our chalkboard with a to do list!

The other side, with bakers rack that supposed to be a Boone Cabinet (just like a Hoover, only made by Boone) but it's still in storage--dog food in the big red bag, cat food in the vintage red lard container

This used to be a window into the backyard until 1950 when they added two rooms...now it holds all my stuff!!!

Close up of stuff, including old cookbooks from my Great Aunt, her red flour sifter, her egg beater, and the tea canister I just bought last night at Auction. Had to put it up!!!! Also ALL my cookbooks :)

My favorite old sign that I framed to save it, along with a blackbird flag I found later :). Everyone who comes into my kitchen laughs out loud at this sign, just like I did when I bought it from the antique booth.

A relic from my childhood haunt, when I stayed with my Gran in Grove City, Ohio. It was right by the railroad tracks, and is gone now, much to my disappointment. Guess that's where I get my love of sawdust smell!!!

C'mon over, Miss Wilma!!! I'm getting my "pie" hands all worked out for Burlington--I'd be honored to have you in my kitchen :). Thanks, I like all this stuff...just pick it up here and there, or get it from family (that's best).

Love your kitchen photos. Feel like I have been to your house now!

Also, don't you hate it when blackbirds tote their guns? :)

Thanks, Jeannie (Shirley :))! I laugh at the sign so frequently...I just think of these farmers running around with guns saying, "Get on outta here, now, ya hear????" and lunging at the blackbirds...I know it's something else entirely, but that's what prompted me to buy it :)

p.s., you're welcome to my tiny kitchen and house any time :)

I love your "stuff",(esp Finn) When I get some time, I will post pics of my kitchen spot too.. I love looking at everyone's space!! Your kitchen looks like the kind I would like to come to & create some xtra special goodies. Sorry I haven't posted much. We just had a new addition(not planned of course) a stray shepherd husky mix that hubby swears is divine intervention cause she looks like his last 2 dogs combined. How can you say no when hubby brings God in the mix???

I just love your kitchen. It looks so country cozy. Lots of really cool stuff. I like the dog with the black eye laying in the corner, too. He/she seems content.

Thanks girls...that Finn, he's my soulmate for sure. I love that dog more than I can describe!!! His crate was there when he was younger, and now it's just "his" spot (as you can tell by the dirt schmeer on the wall :)). He likes to be where I am, and that's mostly in the kitchen, so that's where he is most at ease.

C'mon over, Nubi and make some food with me--the kitchen is small, but full of good ideas and tools :) Sounds like your new addition IS a dream dog--Jus would be the same way. I love a man with a big heart for animals!!!!

So cute, Jonni. Both Finn and the No Trespassing sign are priceless!! I'm going to copy your idea with the blackboard. That's handy and it looks good, too. When will the Boone cabinet come home?

Thanks :) I love that blackboard--before my list went up (that we add to daily), it had a winter scene that Justin drew. It also occasionally has quotes that we like or whatever. This month it's full of goals!!!! I got it at a little junk shop for $10.

I found such humor in that No Trespassing Sign, Janice....Finn sends Buster and Stinky his love :)

The Boone Cabinet can come home whenever I get a uhaul...which seems simple enough, right? For some reason, the weekend rolls around and I forget all about it.

Thanks, Bonnie :)....I just noted the cowbwebs here and there, but I'm still Spring cleaning, so I'll get to them eventually...but Finnigan doesn't mind :)

It is so nice Jonni, just like home. I know it is so comfortable too. I'm with the others, that No Trespassing sign is hard to beat. Your Great Aunt's red flour sifter is right on top of my favorites there, though. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Well, hey, girl! We have a nice, fairly large Chevrolet truck. Maybe we can arrange to help you pick up Mr. Boone sometime this summer. Like if we're both going to an antique show nearby and can meet up. BTW - let me know if/when your daylilies come up. If they don't, they get replaced. And I'm still sending you the ones I promised last year(Fuschia, I believe???).

Janice, you are so sweet to offer--but then, what else would I expect from you :) One of the daylily's has already started sprouting, and I am anxiously awaiting the other's to make an appearance. It stands to reason that each one would have a bit different growth time to emerge, right? I do love fuschia, and I so very much appreciate you!!!!!

I'd love to get together soon, anyway....with or without Mr. Boone :)

Yes, the lilies will come up at different times. It may even be a little early(hope we don't have another frost - but we probably will before derby day). We're going to the farm on Wednesday(the only dry day) b/cause we bought a bunch of stuff at Aldi's on Sunday and we need to plant. So I'll check to see what's trying to come up.
