DH loves cheese curds, he is fom Wisconsin. He finally found a place to get good ones. He likes to fry them and eat them. Do any of you cook with them? What is your fave way to eat them?

I like to add them to pasta salad. I bet they would also be good in the tomato/vinegrette salads I've been seeing lately instead of the mozzerella generally used.

Hello from Wisconsin. We just eat them plain or deep fry them. At our State Fair you can get them deep fried on a stick of course you can get 70+ things deep fried and on a stick at our fair. Let me know what kind he likes and I'll see if I can get some and send them.

Betty Jo, have you ever heard of Ontario, WI? My In-laws live there. they send cheese for christmas every year. I especially love the Muenster. It is at least $7/lb. here in N. Idaho. We are thinking of taking the train back this summer to show our baby off to relatives. DH's dad had a stroke last fall. Normally, they come out west visiting, but now it will be up to us.

Hello Patricia, Thats about 3.5 hours, a bit north and then west of me. I've been in the area and I'm sure I've been there but can't remember off hand. My DH and I do a lot of traveling through out the state by motorcycle during the riding season. It's so easy to find a beautiful road and a wonderful town to explore for a weekend get away. You should let me know if you come and maybe would could meet if you have time.

My understand is that they should "squeak" when you bite them.
