slowly waking up .. rolling over .. stretching and ... and hearing the birds sing .. called me to take my morning coffee outside and sit under our fruit trees with honey hunk and close our eyes and listen to all the nature sounds. (i've been in toledo with 'city sounds') .. although, daughter, wednesday's home backs up to a lovely park where i sighted DEER .. gosh .. don't even see THOSE here in all these woods! (i think cabin and creek keep them IN the woods!) ... honey hunk headed for a 'gulley' to finish pulling up TONS of TRASH and debris .. including olde doors, tin from roofs, stove, fridge, plastic bottles, rusted paint cans .. and other 'rotting' building materials! LORDY! even an olde TOILET was down there!

GOSH .. i just can't even imagine tossing 'trash and garbage' onto one's own property (or obviously .. anyone else's either!)!!! i wonder what generations of those that came here before us must have been thinking!!! if people would just haul their trash to an appropriate DUMP site as it becomes TRASH .. what a nicer environment it would be!

sometimes i look at the sides of our roadways and could just WEEP! WHY do people toss cans, bottles, plastic, paper, and CIGARETTE butts out their car window???

well, anyhoo .. those that come AFTER us here at freedom valley farm .. will not have to deal with this mess .. cuz' it jus' isn't our way of living!

WHEW! offa' my soapbox!!!

i took a long walk in the woods (with basket and scissors in hand) and brought back a huge, lovely bouquet of yellow daffodils that are growing WILD. i loved seeing all the soft green spring grass replacing the 'brown' of winter.

will spend part of today 'freshing' up the birdhouses with new coats of paint .. pulling up olde flower growth that just isn't going to 'come back'! (i knocked down an olde rotting fence too!!)

oh i do hope this beautiful weather is a harbinger of spring!

what are you gurlz up to this beautiful sunday?

Frannie,
Wish I could play in the dirt and sit out side. Still to cold here. A few more weeks I would guess. YEP,I feel the same way about the litter on the road ways. What happen to the crying Indian and the litter fines??
