I have been looking and have found lots of different recipes. I thought I would ask you ladies, who already have the experience...
I am looking for something that cleans the bath as well as the kitchen. Maybe something you put into the spray bottle and wipe. Actually, you know better....

I love vinegar and water & baking soda. I sometimes add a few drops essential oil to the vinegar and water. I mix it 50/50 and put in a small bottle with a sprayer. It works wonders. I use it all over the house. I also love using baking soda as a scrubbing agent. Doesn't scratch but cleans were I would use comet or the such. I also use lemon juice or the lemon it's self to bleach areas that need it. Then I put the lemon down my garbage disposal to freshen it.

I use lemon peel and orange peel for the garbage disposal- the ones I dry, not store bought. I save and dry all lemon peelings and oranges peelings. I love the new Reynolds Handi-Vac vacuum freezer bags. After sucking out the air, the peels last longer. I also use them for my dried herbs. A delightful invention.

I too use vinegar, baking soda, and soap for just about everything in my house. I don't think I have any proprietary cleaners left and I don't plan on buying either! :D

Here is a great recipe using soapwart. It cleans everything and you don't have to rinse!!!!!

2 quarts water
1/3 cup dried soapwart root
x-lg teabag
borax powder

Put soapwart into teabag and fill the rest of the way with borax powder.
Bring water to boil and put teabag into water. Bring back to boil, and turn down heat and simmer for 1 hour.
Squeeze tea bag to death.
Store in canning jars.

Can be used full strength on a rag or paper towel to clean cabinets, counters, or floors. No rinsing needed.

Great to put into a plastic tub and soak dirt out of vintage linens.
Very neutral and safe!!!!!

Leave out the borax in the recipe and you have a great shampoo or body wash -- just add a few drops of lavender oil to the mix!

I mentioned this in a previous post but I adore Desert Essence's Castile with Tea Tree soap and I also adore Dr. Bronner's Salsuds...
Both are just wonderful!

Well, I mix up what I need from the following:

Vinegar
Water
Dr. Bronners
Baking Soda
Essential Oils

Those 4 things pretty much cover everything I need.

Cheers,
Heather

For multi cleaning, I fill a spray bottle up with half water & the other half with vinegar that was infused with essential tea tree oil (acts as a disinfectant). Since I dislike the smell of the tea tree oil, I put a few drops of lemon oil in. This works on all surfaces for a general cleaning.
