I'm having Easter here at my house. I am making 20 pounds of whipped potatoes, about 75 pigs in a blanket, and a lot of gravy. My brother is bringing this awesome medley of veggies that he roasts, my sister a dessert, my daughter this yummy beer/cheese dip with veggies and pretzels, and my mom she hates to cook or bake so I always ask her to bring the bread from this cool little bakery she has by her house and the center piece. This way I get flowers or a plant for my garden. Everyone brings a beverage from exclusive wines and beers to wonderful coffees and fruit punches. Off to peel a ton of potatoes. Have a blessed Easter.

Easter is pretty low key at our house - we have four adult children, but only one who will be around for Easter. We are having pork chops, that sour cream/cheese/potatoe casserole that everone seems to love, brocolli, salad, rolls. don't know about dessert yet.

We are barbquing steaks..that I need to get today. I love our local butcher and will go there...guaranteed great quality and local beef. We will have deviled eggs, green salad, garlic bread, baked beans and baked potatoes too. Maybe peach pie if I get to dessert. I canned aLOT of peach pie filling last year and havn't been using much of it yet.

This sounds like something that would be liked around here too Sherri. Care to share the recipe?

My Mom is cooking. (I clean up) She is making Emeril's Beef Stroganoff. And a salad with roamine, pears, almonds and a fresh dressing-that looked yummy.
For dessert we are having home made pound cake, with whipped cream and strawberries.

I will have to be rolled out to my car later. LOL

This is the first time I'm cooking for the whole family and in our new place too!

We're having brined turkey (won at the turkey roll in November), tangy baked yams, maple carrots, mashed potatoes, gravy, buns, and chocolate pie with whipped cream.

Mum's bringing broccoli salad and sweets, and Gram's bringing a salad.

I hope it's enough food- I've never cooked for ten before :)

We are having a roasted chicken with all the trimmings, mashed potatos and gravy, dressing and green beans. Then some cherry pie for dessert. It is just the 2 of us so I thought have a nice dinner but not too much leftovers!

For appetizers we had a leek camembert cheese custard tart and deviled eggs (of course!), for dinner we had bourbon honey glazed ham, herbed turkey, winter vege & potato gratin, asparagus, creamed carrots, and for dessert, fruit with lime/honey/mint dressing.

Your Easter dinners sound Fabulous. Great Easter Here. NO left overs which is a bummer. After 6 hours of making Pigs in a blanket and Whipped garlic potatoes I have to make dinner this evening. But Nature put on a big show with the Pileated (?) woodpecker pair putting on a huge show for all to enjoy. This is the third year they have returned. We also had a Balded Eagle on Friday. The rest of the birds taking their parts and of course more snow. It was an awesome day!!!!!
