My Sweetie has been sick a month and now money is very tight, the bill collectors are beating our door down, our car is on it's last wheels with a dying exhaust system among other problems and last night our water heater bit the dust...sigh...AND we are in the middle of lambing/kidding here on the farm, so everything is crazy.

I'm trying to take it all in stride and not get down about it.
The upswing is that I've wanted a more energy efficient water heater since I bought the place and we really DO need a newer car...everything else is just life
I'm a silly noodle, but I'm choosing to be happy anyway , at least for the moment.
life is just life.

Hang in there Annika....it is really a bummer when not one or two things hit at the same time but "everything but the kitchen sink" and then some, seems to come at us all at once and without warning sometimes....lots of hugs to you, hope that things slow down/get better soon :-)

Annika, I'm sending you my best vibes, girl! I was most happy to read that instead of getting you down, you CHOOSE to be happy and see the bright(er) side. You need a new car, you need an efficient water heater--it will happen. I'm learning to roll with the punches, and I KNOW you can do it!!!

Just let those little lambs and kids take you away from all of this "worldly" stuff. One look at those precious little bundles of life, I'd forget that "our" world even exists!

Well, I'm trying to learn to roll with the punches better then I used to...I used to just go to pieces.
Thank you girls for the good energy .I'm throwing my hands up and continuing to plot out my garden until I can actually do something about anything. just being one of those months.

The goat kids are just darling! no lambs yet, but any day now

Sounds to me like you are rolling with the punches and doing a good job of it. this is said all the time, but it is true, "One day at a time" You did not cause any of these things to happen and things will finally get settled one more time. Prayers and white light to you and yours, sister.

Annika-

I sure know what you mean! I've had times like that recently as well. I hope poor Drew gets feeling better! He must be absolutely miserable right now, poor guy! We've had debt collectors call here, and I just explain to them exactly what is going on and the phones have stopped ringing. A little breathing space.
