Isn't this snow grande!!! Soon's it stops BLOWING .. honey hunk and i are going to 'bundle up' and take a long walk in the woods with our two olde english's.

I know, Frannie, those little birds are trying desperately to find food on the ground (those that are ground feeders) and the cardinals are plentiful and oh so pretty in the snow.

Right now, Jus is over helping our elderly neighbor shovel her walk and drive, with the three dogs. Our beagle is inside here, howling mournfully because her pack is across the street! So much for the "quiet" beauty of the snow!!!!

We got snow, too, Jonni! Our first real accumulation in 5 years! The boys were up at dawn and romping in it. Our dog, who has never seen snow, just doesn't quite know what to think. It is so beautiful!

That's great (I guess :)), Lea! Hope your pup has as much fun as our guys! I just took hot chocolate over to my husband and neighbor--he and the dogs are helping her shovel out her walk.

Hey Miss Wilma!!! Are you snowed in?

You got snowed in too, huh, Wilma! I just made breakfast and you, poor thing, are probably still sleepy!!! We're getting another snow again--seems like some band is coming in from Indiana. One inch per hour they just said. I'm going to make a snowman either today or tomorrow--poor Justin has to work tonight!!! I think I'm just going to let him drive in tonight--don't know how many folks will be eating, but he said that (yesterday) they were full for reservations....Poor guy! Guess I'll get a lot of projects accomplished :)

Holy cow....we have a TON of snow that has hit us. The local news keeps showing photos from my neck of the woods. I'm getting ready to run out there and take a few photos. It's still coming down pretty hard though at times. Beautiful pix Jonni!

After we go play, we are staying in...grab a cup of hot chocolate...read my massive pile of MJF magazines...and watch it snow. :)

Will post photos when I get back in. I feel like a kiddo again. haha

It's official 13.75 inches here at our house, not in a drift! We just took (a very laborius) walk through the woods with the three big dogs (poor Daisy, it's over her head!) and they were like ice cutters blazing paths through the snow. Amazing!!!! We are sitting down to hot chocolate (dulce de leche!) with homemade marshmallows from the lady across the street--it does pay to help your neighbors :)

What a grand snow storm! I bet you all are so happy! And what a great time to have one! By the time that it is all gone- it will be a nice warm spring for you!

Nubidane- You can make homemade marshmallows with MaryJane's ChillOver powder! Yum!

Hubby and I adventured outside and decided to take a drive. (Yep, curiosity got the best of us...) We have 6 inches of snow and one place we had 8 inches of snow. The bad thing is that we cannot get our driveway scrapped off because there are no snow shovels anywhere. They have their spring stuff out (even though it always snows in KY up through April). Well I took photos outside and then we went driving around. We ended up strolling upon a wedding in a small country church that I was wanting to take a photo of in the snow (outside). It was funny seeing people in suits and dresses in this snow. Bless their heart! Then we ventured on and I got some photos of some of my favorite hot spots for horse and barn photos. Ran into a couple of others who were taking photos too. Everyone was in good spirits and we talked photos and different places to go. One of the guys I recognized was one of the big time photographers at the city paper that I admire their work.

I'm in the process of uploading photos...I'll let ya'll know when I get them uploaded. :)

Jonni...we're gonna grab a cup of hot chocolate in a few. That sound delicious!

Alright, crazy girl driving around! I haven't been out since yesterday at 12 noon! I'm ecstatic that there was a wedding, though--the show must go on, right?!

Hope your hot cocoa is good and that you had a wonderful day together....Jus drove into work only to wait there to find that noone ever opened up--guess they forgot to call people to tell them not to come in!

haha...I made hubby drive. At least I know that my car handles pretty well in the stuff. The main roads are fine, the side roads are horrible. Finally got some photos in my blog thingie. Yeah the wedding party was hillarious. There were only a few cars at the church and we had pulled in. It's a very old church and I have been taking photos throughout the seasons of it. I hadn't gotten one of it in the snow because well, we haven't had much of any. You would have thought we lived in Florida or something. haha. That's when we saw the wedding party going in. I really wish I had taken a photo thinking back, but I would have really felt weird for doing so.

Hey Miss Wilma! It's even prettier today, I think! It's sunny and OH SO BRIGHT! But, I love the sunshine--however, it is only 20 degrees, so not very good "outside" weather. It was 6 this morning when we woke up! Brrrr! I just got finished planting some seeds in the peat pots so I'm trying to usher Spring in for sure!

Thanks for the nice compliment about the photo--that's our lower portion of the yard, where we have the wild brambles and (soon) bees. It's my favorite place to sit and dream :)

Our class got cancelled, Janice--it's rescheduled for this coming Saturday, though, so we're very glad of that! Oh, poor Minnie--she and Daisy need to have stilts! I've never seen little legs move faster to get out and back in!

The snow is melting really fast with the sun shining. I was really shocked by how fast it was melting...you can see the grass and our sidewalk and driveway is completely clear. God must have shoveled it for us. haha.
