Here it is!
The thread to talk all about our ongoing TEA SWAP. How is it on your end? Did you decide on the variety of tea to send? Do you have your envelopes addressed? Are you having fun yet?
(By the way, I tried to title this thread "But occasionally....I wanna talk about TEA..." Remember? To the tune of Toby Keith's..."I like talking about you-ou-ou-ou usually....but occasionally, I wanna talk about ME, wanna talk about I, wanna talk about number one....Oh well, That title was too long for the subject line!) |

well .. the joke of cabin fever weekend was that 'frannie will be sending out TEA BUGS rather than TEA BAGS' .. cuz' amy was drinking a 'white jasmine' cuppa' tea when she discovered a 'critter' doin' the 'back-stroke' in her cup! i checked the box .. and yep! there were some 'kith and kin' in there (all daid!) lordy! now i'm suspect of every food item i might buy at T.J. MAX! (i like their little 'gourmet food' section! HA! in all honesty .. that box jus' sat too long ont he shelf in my 'provisions' closet .. and the little guys jus' took up residence! they mus' love JASMINE! i got a NEW box of blueberry flavored green tea (yep! at TJ max) for the 'swap' .. but i think we might have drunk most of it this past weekend.
this week will be filled with me wrapping dollies and treasures and getting them on their way ... then .. we head on vacation for about ten days .. sooooooo ... it'll probably be AFTER that .. when i have an opportunity to get my 'tea bags' on their way to the swap gurlz. (be patient with me ya-ya's!) xo

I have LOTS of different teas, so I looked back on other tea threads to see what types of tea participants mentioned that they like. I'll do my best to match it up. I don't have much black tea lately, I guess you could say I've been going green :) And lately, chai, because it is so rich, good for Idaho winter. I'll be sending them out as soon as I get a little break from moving/cleaning our old place. I was thinking of sending 2 different tea bags in each envelope. If anyone is pregnant, I wish they would mention it, so we can send them herbal tea. I was bummed to find out that I can't get my fave tea brand in town, Yogi Tea. It's made in Eugene Oregon by hippies, on a commune. It's the best. It's the same people that make Golden Harvest bulk cereals.

I sent out about half of my envelopes this weekend, and will probably work on the other half this afternoon. It was nice to sit down and relax and jot a little note to everyone!

I am working on mine. Did you have to add more than 41 cents per envelope?

I'm working on mine now. Well, after I get off the forum! Patricia, we have Yogi tea down here in Rathdrum. Only a few types. Which do you like?

Hey all,
Just wanted to let you know it will be at least a week before I get tea bags out to everyone. My dad passed away late last week and the funeral was yesterday. Today we start the "settling up of affairs". I am not looking forward to this farm task.

No worries, Donna!! You have to do what you have to do...and your situation is MUCH more important than this swap! When you're ready, you'll send them out. Much better that we don't get them all at once anyhow...I love getting farmgirl mail!!

I sent all but the last three that were listed later last Thursday. I'll get the last three out this week. I sent 3 different kinds in each envelope. I don't think what I had was nearly as fancy as what some of you are talking about, though.
Donna, sorry to hear about your dad. You just take care of what needs to be done and don't worry about us.

I was greeted with my first envelope of tea bags yesterday. I'm preparing mine to go out tonight! Thanks girls!
