Mine is a 99k, I have been trying to research it some,I love this machine, Ronna it shines like new money, it is just a little bit bigger than a feather weight, I cant wait to get it oiled up and try it out, I had rather have an old machine any time I have a new Necchi its not worth 15 cents that thing after you use it a little while just lays down and wont go, So I bought a new white its no good either, One of the best machines I have cost 15.00 Love ya wilma

Thanks for the info Miss Wilma. I'll keep my eyes open for one. I do agree about the older machines. My 1964 era White was a workhorse, would sew over flat fell Levi crotch seams. I let my stepmom have it, when Larry bought be the Viking Rose. Kept meaning to tell her to not let it get away and when I did, she had loaned it to someone who moved and took it with them. Wish I'd said something sooner, but such is life. She has a mid 70's era Bernina she's been happy with, but said it wasn't as strong as my White. I don't think she sews at all anymore; her eyes aren't good and she's been too ill for a long time.

Miss Wilma...maybe you have my old White? Wouldn't that be a hoot. I have the little hang tag with the serial number on it still, it was $229 I think with the walnut cabinet. I made most of Lori's clothes on it and think it kept me somewhat sane, with no neighbors, no car, one TV station that was just "snow" half the time. One radio station that would come in. Maybe that's why I felt so "attached" to it.

Mine was beige, so it's not at your house. You can come sew on my new Bernina anytime...I'm trying to clean out the sewing room so I can use it while off work 6 weeks after surgeries later this month.
My stepmom has an old treadle machine in a large oak cabinet. My Dad found it in an old barn several years before he died and refinished the oak. Can't remember the machine name, but would love to have it someday as a memory of my Dad. Better clarify the "find", the barn belonged to someone he knew and he was told to take anything he wanted before they tore it down.
