This has been a fun day Sterl went with me and loaded, I got long dough bowls 18. Jessie Stuart books, I looked one of them up it is signed and is worth 150.00, I got a wonderful two drawer table with original paint, . a mortised bench, childrens chairs, other benches. a real cute hanging cupboard, several pcs of treen ware,a large ogee frame with a beautiful early picture of a little girl, one crock with blue, one blue and white stoneware bowl, I got a lot of things out of the garage that have to be worked on In all I bought today 3 shelves of good early books and several Tasha Tudor, and Gladys Tabor, do any of you know any thing about them? Anyway I came home with a truck packed full and get to go back next week if the weather is good

Good for you Miss Wilma. I have lots of Tasha books and Tabor books. Hope we get to see a few pictures. Sounds like you had a really good day. Nothing like a good shopping day to put the spring back in your step.

Miss Wilma, thank you for the offer. It appears that your books are illustrated by Tasha Tudor. The basket of herbs is going for $75 and up- very valuable. I am looking for books about Tasha Tudor's life, her home, her crafts.. thank you for the offer though.. I would check the going rates on those other books- they may be worth more than you think.

That Tina - she always scarfs up the books...I have sent her one, too - Hey Tina - are you an expert book collector and have not told us? :)

Miss Wilma - everything you listed is a treasure to collectors - the only one I personally had never heard of is - what is an ogee frame?

Glad you got a good haul - and it certainly sounds like you struck gold, for sure. Go girl!

Jeannie I keep saying I am quitting but I am telling you it is an addiction, I am just like a drunk , gotta have one more fix. An ogee frame is one that was originaly covered with mahogany burling, you know like a thin veneer,to get the pretty pine wood underneath you have to take the burling off, My frame is about 5 inches wide by approximately 24x 30then its how the frame is layered that makes them highly sought after. Good to hear from you Wilma

Jus will have to talk with Sterl about bees. We're both VERY excited and can't wait to get the buggers (no pun intended :)) to our home.
Where did you go to find these items? Sounded like it was far away from you? Garden things...Oh my! The hair just stood up on the back of my neck!
You sure know how to tease, Miss Wilma :)

Now I havent told you about my new old sewing machine, it was bought new in 1958. It is a singer 3/4, Now for the good part it has never been sewed on, and shines like new money. 3/4 means it is just a little bit bigger than a featherweight, you can bet it is a keeper. That was in my load also

Miss Wilma,
Out of curiosity, what is the model # of the 3/4 Singer. I'm not familiar with them, but have seen some small ones that intrigued me. I knew they weren't Featherweights. If I know what to look for, no telling what I might find.
