Hi Kathy, Yes, I do collect teacups and have somewhat tamed my compulsion in recent years. I dream of having a special glass-fronted cupboard so I can show them all off in in my next home. For several years I taught tea classes locally and conducted tea tastings at some of our local bookstores. My co-teacher and kindred spirit and I learned all about tea cultivation, harvesting, grading, and brewing. We even visited the only tea plantation in the U.S. on Wadmalaw Island, S.C.. To tie this to books there are a series of tea mystery books by Laura Childs that are most enjoyable ... (sample titles: Death by Darjeeling, Shades of Earl Grey, Chamomile Mourning). The protagonist is Theodosia Browning, owner of the Indigo Tea Shop in Charlestons' historic district. They are light mysteries, interesting characters, and Theodosia has a mutt dog named Earl Grey. ![](icons/icon_smile.gif)
I've ordered a used copy of Glady's Taber's Another Path and can't wait for it to arrive. This will be my first visit with Glady's. I also noticed this week on my Susan Branch wall calendar that she includes Gladys Taber's birthday on it which is tomorrow, April 12th! So Susan must really appreciate her, too.

Hi Mary Jane, yes those tea mysteries are ones you can read and sip the day away with! I also read a couple of her scrapbooking store-themed mysteries, but I didn't like the characters as well as the ones in the tea books.
