I've got all mine cut out and some are stitched up. I've caught the crochet bug, so I've been doing a lot of that too. I need to get my felt pins finished too!

I am working on mine every chance I get. I love to do them when I'm watching a movie or something. Very therapeutic indeed!

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my taxes are done & faxed and my YOYO's are done as well! I even made a few extra to toss in my stash....
I made some small & itty bitty ones.
Last night I finally tried making the flower shaped ones using my new flower shaped yoyo disk/tool/thingamajiggy.
They turned out , ok, but given a little practice, I think they will "blossom" as I make more.
Heather, plz email me a mailing address.....I will hit the Post probablly this coming Wednesday.

I picked up a yo-yo maker at joanns and it cut my yo-yo making time in half! not to mention I don't have to precut fabric anymore- you can cut the fabric after it is put into the yo-yo maker.. I had spent hours tracing and cutting out circles when I was sick a couple of weeks ago.. so this is a real time saver! I also got the smaller size- they have a mid sized and the large which makes a yo-yo just over 2 inches.. they were out of the midsized. You can see a little quilt that I completed with my new rag dolly I got from frannie yesterday.. it is on my blog..
It took me forever to assemble it. afterwards I looked online for a quicker method :-) I didn't sign up because I didn't think I could get it done in time- If I had known about this little maker I would have signed up- oh well, next time..

I haven't tried that one.. They only had the large and the small when I went.. but it is a nice thing to do when I am watching tv at night..
I want to get more for my daughter to work with.. there is a picture of a purse on my blog that I want to make. I am also making a mini yo-yo quilt for my mom's bday.. I better get to work- her bday is the 31st

Hi sisters, I'm checking in with ya and am able to say that I cut all of mine out now. I know I'll be working on them alot in the next few days, but it is fun and relaxing.
My son has therapy apointments at least twice a week so I'll have some waiting room quiet too.
I love yoyos...now to start putting them together. I think I'll make a wall-hanging with them, them. I actually saw a vest made with yoyos on Star Treak one time. It was the 2nd generation I believe. I was so surprised ...I recognized them for sure! They were various shades of brown and green. Looked great!
I got my camera working now so maybe I'll have pics soon!

Hmmm...that's weird. A couple days ago I posted about an article on yo-yo's in Country Living - and now it's gone!

Oh well - the feature is still there if anyone wants to check it out!

Yikes... mine are cut, but I need to get sewing. Just realized I have about 1 week. No problem, I work better under pressure That yo-yo maker sure sounds nifty. I looked at my local Jo-Ann's, but I can only buy them on-line. I think I will have to get a couple, because I have found these to be fun.

Cheryl, try your local quilt shops. That's where I found all mine. Three different local quilt shops all had them around here. I still have to finish sewing mine. I also work better under pressure, that's the procrastinator in me! I've got the crocheting bug currently and I'm finding it difficult to put it down.

okay..just came back from the post office. Mine are in the mail. You should get them in about 3 days.
Thank you for the tip about going to the quilt shop for the yo-yo maker. I will try that. Oh darn, now I HAVE to go to the quilt shop. This has been fun. I am thinking about making a little yo-yo throw.
