I need recipes that are free of sugar and white flour. I especially need recipes or tips for baking this way. I'd love product recommendations, etc.
Our youngest son has psoriasis and we are trying to change his diet. He is a growing (14 yrs old) boy and does love him a homemade cookie or two! ![](icons/icon_smile_tongue.gif)
Thanks in advance farmgirls! Rhonda

Here's a link to flourless cookies & brownies, but I don't know about the sugarless part. They seem to be substituting Splenda, or other artificial sweeteners, for the sugar part. Not sure what your thoughts are on artificial sweeteners (although you could experiment with Stevia, it's natural). Don't forget, a lot of peanut butters have sugar in them, too.

Here's a recipe I found for cookies using stevia:
Chocolate Chip Cookies 1 stick butter ¼ tsp Stevia extract powder 1 TBS honey (optional) 1 egg ½ tsp vanilla ½ cup unbleached wheat flour ½ cup whole wheat flour ½ tsp salt ½ tsp baking powder 1 cup rolled oats ¼ cup chopped nuts ½ cup chocolate chips or carob chips
Combine first 4 ingredients and mix well. Gradually add the rest of the ingredients in order. Divide into cookies and bake 10 minutes at 375°F. Texture will be different from other cookies but if eaten warm, they are delicious. Substitute raisins for chocolate chips for a breakfast treat. .
I see you just said you were eliminating white flour, so perhaps this might work?
And here's another link to some recipes using stevia:

I haven't tried any of these, was just looking around at what's out there. Good luck,

Thanks so much! These sound GREAT! Oue son can't have peanuts/pecans either so the peanut butter isn't a concern...but yes, many have quite a bit of sugar! We already use stevia so these are perfect. Thank you so much for taking the time to look these up Lori! How kind of you! Rhonda

I'm glad you found something helpful, and I was wondering if he could have peanut butter, too!
There are lots more recipes using stevia out there, I just did a quick search for stevia recipes. In fact, I think I might try some of these, too! I've never baked with it yet, just bought my first box last month.
