I started on a celebrity snark board in 2001. That shut down and half of us went to another forum, started a section focusing on our personal lives rather than celebs and really bonded. Unfortunately everyone there was not quite "right" and some cyber stalking went on. A bunch of us started another board with very exclusive access.

Since I've known some of these people for eight years, we've really grown close. But sometimes I feel they don't understand me or my rural lifestyle at all. It's just so foreign to them.

I have thought of that. I just don't want anyone to feel like I'm "poaching"! :D

A couple of music and band-related sites, and the PBS Masterpiece Theatre board for the Jane Austen series that's currently running.

I used to belong to a garden forum, but I simply have too many passwords to keep track of, and they don't hold my interest like this forum...I can get ALL kinds of questions answered here about gardening, cooking, animal issues, what have you, plus there are good friends.

I joined diaperswappers not too long ago, not so much for conversation, but to find out other opinions on cloth diapers and find resources for them. I think I am also a member of the King Arthur Flour forum called the Baking Circle, but that is just for the recipes. Those people take their baking much more seriously than I ever will. Sounds like I am just a user ;). But this is the only forum in which I actively participate.

I belong to a cast iron collector's forum and check in daily. I sometimes check out the 'Fugly Horse' site because it's snarky and entertaining and I learn a little about horses (even though I've never ridden a horse in my life).

I'm active here and on DiaperSwappers. Other then that I belong to about three others but have not been on them in a while. I try to spend all my time on the computer. BUT, when I was working my corp. job up until a year ago I was spent a lot more time on all of the forums. Now I'm home full time with my two little daughters.

Well....Frannie.....I started collecting cast iron cookware about 3 years ago, when I googled cast iron and looked at eBay auctions. I fell into this forum (WAGs) through Google and joined and learned more about it, though, I'm hardly an expert and there are a few hard core collectors on that site. There's a lot of knowledge about it with dates and foundries and certain styles, but I might know just the really basic info. If you want to know something specific about a piece, that's a good site to ask. You can go in as a guest and ask a question, without paying a membership fee. Anyway, I have some Griswold skillets from the early 20th century and some Erie (early Griswold) pieces that are pre 1900. I like the older stuff, usually 19th century. I have some old waffle irons, various styles and different paddle patterns, some early muffin and gem pans, griddles, and a Wagner piece or two.

I belong to blog catalog where they have different groups you can join. I am in several. My favorite is the home and garden group. You can look in the directory for farm blogs or which ever catagory you are interested in. There are so many interesting blogs and sites around that it is impossibe for me to visit all that I would like to.I have to say that MaryJanesFarm farmgirl connection is my favorite forum. I feel more at home here that any other. And that is not just sugar talk either.

You can never have enough friends.

Oh Frannie! We do swap diapers! LOL, cloth diapers that is ;) It's a forum where you can learn about cloth diapering and it's a great support network for cloth diapering mamas.
