oh gurlz .. i meant to tell ya'll the story of the 'table topplin' that i did yesterday while in hodgenville at the lincoln day festivities. some friends of mine own a darling 'folk arty' shoppe on the square .. and upstairs .. they have antiques. it's "u" shaped .. with several dead end corners ..
as always, i headed for the PRIMS! there was an old table with about 450 pounds of farm impliments, tools and doo-dahs made of heavy rusty metal. i spied a large 'apple butter stirrer' in the back corner behind the table with a little white tag dangling there with a teeeeeeeeensily-written price on it .. but with these olde eyes .. i surely couldn't read the tag .. sooo .. i proceeded to lean into and somewhat 'climb' upon the table to try and twist the tag around as i huffed and puffed thinkin' my breath would make it sway in the breeze .. when .. OH YESSS ... CRASH CLATTER BANG!!! the 'table' turned out to just be a board on 'sawhorse legs' .. and it .. and the 450 pounds of hoes, sycthes .. pointy pitchforks and various and asundry other lethal looking rusty metal farm objects came fallin' down like the walls of jericho! .. and yep! guess who was at the 'bottom of the heap' ..
howsomeever .. when every shopper in the store came running to my rescue .. there i sat .. proudly and with a grin .. with $13.. apple butter paddle IN HAND! of course, i wanted it .. but i swannee .. even if i didn't .. i would bought the dang thing! i wanted it for the Jeremiah Abell Cabin in town! today it proudly leans against the olde log walls down there!
i can be a DANGEROUS shopper if i want sumpthin' bad enuff! xo
oh .. not a scratch or bump on me .. and better yet .. NO TETANUS shots were required!

ha .. gurlz .. i wasn't hurt .. but i must admit .. that 'pitchfork' thingie skeeeered the be-jeeeezuz outta' me until it landed clear of me. i think i scared the owners of the store even more than me! (and i had just asked them to 'baby sit' for my back-pack so i didn't knock anything over with it!) oh sheila .. i don't embarrass easily .. and this jus' hit me as 'funny' .. as long as i didn't maim any small children in my wake!
