You may recall my daughter sold her sweet little Quiet Storm in order to adopt Firecracker, one of the Kiger mustangs, this past fall. It's been quite a journey as she first lost the foal she was carrying, then had a poll injury which needed attention.
This all added up to a horse who's just a wee bit protective of her face. Okay, maybe a bit more than wee bit. Try very. But I've managed to get the halter on and off each day so far this month. I made a little felted piece to go over the crown of the halter so it didn't put too much direct pressure on the injury. Isn't she pretty with her new clothes? LOL!

And yesterday I decided it was time to toss the saddle blanket up there. Saddle blankets, it's rumored, eat mustangs. She wanted nothing to do with it at first, but finally decided it was okay.
