Well I accidentally washed and dried a tube of chapstick with a load of laundry the other day. Not to mention with a new shirt and it left stains on all the clothes. I have tried everthing I could think of. Does anyone have any suggestions? |

Have you tried a degreaser like Dawn or "Greased Lightning"?

I have done it MANY times...and there is very little to do, unless you have the time to sit down with borax, baking soda and yep..Some shout and a tooth brush. I've even used GOOP and scrub each little greasy smudge.
Sorry girls. I think that's why I started wearing dark colors :)

Wow, who knew something like Chapstick would leave a stain? We are both addicted to Chapstick but in all my years of doing laudry I have never washed a tube of it...my favorite (and unfortunately, frequently repeated)trick is to forget a piece of Kleenex in the pocket of something...but that's for another story.
Good luck to both of you girls in getting the clothing cleaned up. Thanks for the lesson.

if it has gone thru the dryer, you might want to regenerate the stain with WD-40 or veggie oil before using the dishsoap. I have done that before and it has worked every time. I even did a demonstrative speech on it in college! LOL!
