Hi Debi!
Have you tried Honey? A lot of the ladies rave about using honey on your face.

The dry skin serum from prairielandherbs.com is GREAT!! It will cure the driest of skin and try the luxury shea bar too on your face, it is so good! Just had to put in my input when I saw mention of prairieland herbs!!![:) |

Hi Tammy! Thanks hon! I know the price of that serum seemsa little scary, but DAYUM, we love that stuff too and it takes only a few drops. i think it's time to make some more samples to start sending out in orders. :)
Jojoba oil makes a lovely facial oil too, if you're looking for something simple yet luxurious..... |

Debi, In my learnings, I have heard that jojoba oil is the closest to human skin oil (sebum, I believe) and is generally very good for your skin. When I started dabbling in using natural things versus "cosmetic counter" goodies, I used straight jojoba oil on my skin for over a year. Sometimes I added in a few drops of lavender essential oil. Then I got brave and started making a "salve" for my skin, which included various oils such as jojoba, almond, olive, coconut and some beeswax, cocoa butter, shea butter, various essential oils, and whatever sounded good or was on my shelf at the time. I shy away from making lotions or creams as they are tricky (in my experience at least) and it is very difficult (again, in my experience) to make a small amount for my own use without adding some kind of preservative. So I make a salve/balm and have been very happy with it these last ten years or so. Good luck in your quest!

Thank you for your kind words Sherri! :) I really appreciate that! We are actually in the midst of a huge website upgrade (lots of swearing involved) - trying to figure out how to use our new shopping cart, which will have lots of nice perks (wishlist, etc) for our customers. Gosh I can't wait to be done... :) |
