I was outside to let Sky-dog go potty when I realized something looked weird in the landscape of my backyard. My neighbor's green house collapsed under the weight of the snow!! I will take pictures tomorrow.

Oh, that's aweful..I bet y'all deal with that problem alot with the amount of snow that falls..I ready where Debi and her husband were shoveling snow off the roof of their house!

Oh I have had that happen before. We had a porch off our new addition on the house- it was just a slatted type that was slightly slanted with some sheet of plywood nailed on top. It was only meant to last the summer and be replaced but the parents never got around to it. The pitch of the roof it was attached to was VERY steep- we are talking 20 foot ceilings. Well we had the typical ice/snow/sleet combination for 2 days that is typical in CT and the snow had built up. It just let go and slid down the roof onto the porch and BAM!!! The whole porch collapsed in one piece. Needless to say, the cat was stuck to the 20 foot ceilings for awhile and my dad just about pooped himself. It happened at 10 at night and we had neighbors calling thinking it was a car accident.
I am not sure of their names, and I am pretty sure no one was hurt as they just use it as a storage shed for their lawnmower and such. It was pretty old and probably wasn't all that functional anymore, but it is just suprising to see a structure collapse like that. This is a REALLY unusual winter for us.
