You know those stupid letters that you have to type in when you change something like email, post on blogs, etc? The ones that are supposed to keep spammers away? Well, they are starting to keep me away from signing up for things too.
I'm having a horrible time seeing the darned things - even with my bifocals!! I type it in, it says it's wrong, I type again, it says it's wrong, I type again. I either get it right or I give up. I think the websites need a senior citizens button for people like me with old eyes and bifocals. Ahhh - the joys of getting older!

You know i have run into some of those and even though I type in the right ones it tells me they are incorrect. Go figure. I gave up on reading anything you have to do that with. I'm not talking about the ones on the blogs but sometimes if you want to sign up for something they have them.

I've done the same thing--I alwasy screw it up, and for some reason it's easier to do them on our home computer...but I think it might be because I'm busy giggling because of the reason they post "why" they ask you to do it...to prove you're not a robot! It makes me crack up every time!

Some websites now have a button that you can click that reads the letters and numbers to you so you can type them in.

I hate having to input those little things. They are called captchas I think. They are just annoying and sometimes they refresh while you are still trying to figure out what the letters are and you are typing them in. I hate spam though - meat or email.

Kay, Isn't that the truth..LOL In addition to my glasses I now have one of those 2" pink magnifiers on a rope and keep it next to the monitor so I can make out those spam letters!
I think they should name the new button "senior moment"...LOL

| I don't have any trouble reading them, and they still make me do it over and over again. I think they just don't work very well. It's a clunky system. |
