Everyone has a special dish they take to pot lucks and everyone always counts on you to bring it. Mine is a potato casserole that has sour cream and cheese in it. My mom's was her potato salad. What's yours?

beef curry puffs. Not a "dish" per se, but it's the major request from friends and it's versatile finger type food, and always a hit. I love the potato casserole you write about, Sherri. I think my mom makes something similar--how can you go wrong with potatoes, sour cream and cheese?

Whole Wheat Bread made from freshly ground flour.
Sometimes it's with butter, cinnamon honey butter, or it's w/w spinach walnut feta bread.

If it is a main dish it is enchiladas for sure, otherwise homemade rolls. I make pretty good baked beans too (chock full of bacon and green onions...yum!)

Spanikopita (swoon)

My mother says it's better than you can get in the Greek restaurant! It's my go-to dish whenever I'm cooking for a dinner party or a mom who just gave birth.

Best,

My husband loves my meatloaf. He has literally raved about it to other people. The thing is that I don't have a recipe. It's one of those things that if in a pinch for supper, I pull out hamburger, ground pork, turkey whatever is in there. The ingredients vary by whatever condiments happen to catch my eye. The funniest time was when he told his mom that I had her beat after having meatloaf one night. I just started giggling when he said there had to be a "secret" ingredient in there. LOL! There was! Frosted Flakes
I had no crackers or bread crumbs!

I love deadlines. I especially like the whooshing sound they make as they go flying by. ~anon

Sherri,

It's so easy to make and always turns out great. It's actually a layer of cream cheese mixed with ricotta cheese, then a layer of the cream cheese/ricotta mixed with pesto, then chopped sundried tomatoes, another layer of the cream chees/ricotta mixture, topped with pine nuts. The crust is Italian bread crumbs mixed with parmesan cheese. It's rich and yummy served with bread or crackers.

Since I moved here from Minnesota I usually bring something with wild rice in it. I have a good recipe for a chicken wild rice salad. Since my husband is a mycologist I might bring something with mushrooms. My latest endeavor for a pot luck was sushi. JoAnn
