Took a picture of some of my thrift store jewelery. I put some of it on a mirror tray, looks pretty good. Some of the old stuff is so nice to have, just don't know where its been, or what events its attended. I only keep what I like and give the rest to my friend who uses it for crafts. Some of it has been engraved, and some is good gold or silver.

Nancy it is so pretty and a mirrow is a perfect place to diaplay it, I have done decided you are pretty good at displaying , how I wish you were here, I will be so glad to get some organization in the shop, Jess aand I worked like beavers but it is still to cluttered, I cant stand that, it begins to looking tacky, I dont get a lot of jewelry, I know weiss and isonberg, but dont know the other kinds but I do like it

nancy .. your 'jewels' remind me so much of one of the rooms i had at Crooked Tree Hollow ... and i have the mos' marvelous blue jean jacket that i got at a thrift store for 4 dollars .. and filled it with stitcheries and tons of faux jewels .. i have met some fun ladies by wearing it .. kindred souls always come up to comment on it to me! (it is heavy to wear .. and HA! i have gotten 'jabbed' every now and then when a pin pops loose! NO getting through airport security in it!!! xo

I seem to collect it more then I wear it. I do like bracelets to wear. I just think that old vintage jewelry is so much better made then the new costume stuff.

Me to, I have a pretty wide gold bracelet that I have had for years the thing that holds it together looks like a little purse and has little green stones on it, It will go to my daughter, I would like to find a heavy gold watch chain but so far they have been so expensive, so I will just keeep looking, When I was younger I liked diamond rings but since I have got older my hands are so work worn and ugly I dont wear them much, In my buiness I was always able to buy them reasonable, One of the prettiest rings I have, I traded pillows for. I like my hoop earrings but I will put a pair in and wear them until they were out on me

nancy .. when you hang those 'fancy vintage clothes' .. it is sweet to pin a vintage pin to it .. or drape a lovely necklace over the top of the hanger hanging in front of the clothing. I'll take some pics and show you how i do mine. Also, if you have some 'fabric hearts' for valentine's day .. attach a piece of jewelry to it .. and i've seen them hanging from BEAUTIFUL ribbon .. kinda' like a 'bell pull'. AND .. vintage jewelry makes LOVELY gifts too of course! xo, frannie
