Hi, has anyone else received an email thru MJ's from K_sango18@yahoo? They are looking for people to help them with their money, but what happens is they end up with your bankaccount details and rip you off. Please dont be sucked in by this. |

Helen, read the member update in the welcome category, and the spam post in the tech section. It's under control. Just delete it.

I've been approached with this dumb scam several times through e-bay, and craigslist as well.. a variation on the scam is that they want to buy something from you and win an auction on e-bay, then they tell you that they want you to handle the shipping etc. but they want to wire the money directly into your bank account, instead of sending a check or using paypal. They tell you that for your trouble they will wire twice the amount you want for the item into your bank.. when really all they want is your information.. they make it look legit because they are using e-bay... it is commonly known as the coal miner scam or just the miner scam. It's been around forever... but it's too bad they are hanging out here.
you can be oh so smart, or you can be oh so positive. I wasted a lot of time being smart I prefer being positive. |

Helen, all you have to do is to delete from your email inbox... that is all. It does not contain a virus. It's just the usual scam asking for money. ... and I hope we've all got enough smarts not to do that.

I got it and opened it but deleted it before giving them any money. We also have a password on our bank account
