Has anyone read this? I am loving it thus far and would really like someone to discuss it with!!
It's by Tom Hodgkinson who also wrote "The Freedom Manifesto"

it's about taking time to be idle...getting over the notion that early to bed early to rise makes a (man) health wealthy and wise.
I think there is truly something to it. Think about how clock bound our society is, clock bound and guilt ridden. Most people hate their jobs. the people who don't hate their jobs do what they want and when they want and aren't any less productive.
This is our goal here. Rob no longer wants to work for his boss in the way he does. He is aiming for working 3 days a week and having 4 at home for what he/we want to do.
it fits for us, for the way we live our lives in every other way...It's a worthwhile read for sure, as is the other book, 'Freedom Manifesto'.

Thanks Tasha. I do believe in taking time to be a loafer. I am lucky in that I am most often living that life. Took years to get here but it is worth the wait. When my children were at home my house was not neat and showed sure signs of children living in it. But I did not care as I knew that the children and I had much better things to do (make mud pies, chase frogs, ect...) then make sure that the house was perfect. It would have never happened any way as there was 5 and only one of me. I have for the most part had jobs that I enjoyed and worked around my life doings. I do not wear a watch and most times am not in a hurry except to plant a garden or get to my craft room. I'll look for the book as it sounds like it would be a good reminder not to fret over what you think you should be doing but do what you want to do. Life is very short and we all need to take time to enjoy it. Even though it is hard to take the time or we put it off till tomorrow. Enjoy today as it will soon be gone. ![](icons/icon_smile_big.gif)
