I have a gazillion, and I have to say, nothing is really working for me. I have Burts Bees (regular, honey AND pomegranite), I've got Rosebud Salve, I've got some blackberry honey thing and I'm serious--I'm sitting here right now and my lips are dry, tight and itchy-burny. Driving me crazy!!!
What's your favorite lip remedy?

I love the lip butter by Susan Dahlem. It's very moisturizing. But my lips do still get dry and have to be exfoliated, I usually use a lip scrub or masque, I have Mary Kay right now. Some times I just use my shower puff and facial cleanser when I'm in the shower. I usually have to do this about 1-2 times a week. And then use the lip butter daily. Robin

Drinking extra water and a humidifier along with taking cooler showers and slathering on a lip balm or even a touch of honey or apricot oil.
Cheers, Heather |

Burt's Bees-Hands down is the only thing that works for me. I try other brands, but always end up back with the tried and true yellow tube of Burt's.

Blistex medicated w/SPF15 (blueish green case). Works awesome!!!! I buy them by the dozen and have one everywhere and try to keep one in my pocket too. I use it 100 times a day or as often as I need. No funky taste and feels smooth on my lips. It also keeps my lips smooth and kissable (that's what DH says). I use it all year round and can find it for about $1.00 a piece. DH likes too for his man lips.

To carry around I use Burt's Bees. Awesome stuff. But at home, I have to admit I use Vaseline. One cheap tub lasts forever and works great.

I just chug a bunch of water, and it usually goes away. Meanwhile, I use any natural balm, or the baby's lanolin.

It's been Burt's Bees for me for years, but now that they've been bought out by Clorox, I think I'll have to find something new.

They were bought out by Clorox???????? when did this happen?
**edit** Clorox purchased Burt's in November. I am so disappointed. Now I will also have to find new personal care products to use.

Thanks girls....I'm going to give some of the other remedies listed here a shot, as I mentioned, I've got 3 different types of Burts, and none of them are working.
I'll let you know which ones work for me!

Hey, Jonni, and all the gals: if you have a local Feed and Seed store nearby pick up a green tin of Bag Balm. That stuff works amazingly well on lips, elbows, hands......it is a little greasy/shiny feeling when you first put it on (which I consider a plus on the lips). I rub it into my cuticles every night, and several times a day during winter weather; after a few minutes the greasiness has disappeared and your skin is baby soft. |

I use plain old Vaseline, or Carmex.

I burned my lips really bad once when I went tanning ( here, slap my wrist: ) and the only thing that cleared it up was some vitamin E oil capsules. I poked a hole in them with a pin and sqeezed the oil out and rubbed it on my lips. Your lips with be really shiney so you might do it when you plan on being home all day or doo it at night. Also, I use neutrogena brand lip balm. Also, I think you can buy E oil in the oil form not the capsule but it might be more expensive..i can't remeber why I got the capsules instead but they worked like a miracle :)
