Merit Badge Update: Gabe and I are working on the designs for the individual badges. I added another 16 hours on top of Alee’s 15 hours and got the requirements to a place where I finally had to say UNCLE! I tried to address every little problem that might crop up. But my crystal ball is only so big. Carol redesigned them so you can print them out as pages for your scrapbooks. We’ll update them again in July but you’ll see a date at the bottom of every page so you can keep track of them. Our software for applying for them and then downloading a badge has taken countless hours!!! You have no idea the work that goes into something as simple as putting a hexagon by every sister’s name. Brenda has to go through a long list of prompts for each and every one. Wowzer. But it sure is looking slick I think. My daughter and her friends are so excited to start earning their badges.

Check out the Henhouses. Brenda say the Bees Without Borders Chapter is moving in today.

Thanks for your patience.

For the MudHens so far we have just used our MaryJanesFarm forum name and password. Try that first and then let your chapter leader know if that isn't working for you.

Thank you, each and every one of you, for the countless hours and the incredible commitment you've given to make this available to all of us. Just so thrilled to be a part of all of this!

Mary Jane..
I was So thrilled to see the adorable little Hexagon by our names.. I knew instantly what it was when i first saw it.. I just can't get over all the labor intensive work your all pouring into this!! So Appreciated !! & so looked forward to by everyone.. It's all such fun! Our Club!! Didn't we always want to belong to things as kids.. ? This is just grand to still be able to do now as Adults! Do things.. Learn things.. & grow from what we achieve.. & be able to show off what we've done by all the badges we're earning too! It all shows in us by all the hard work you all do you know!
I have one teeny, smidgy question though..& Your going to want to kick me in the shin with those lovely boots of yours.. I Know you said it was a major feat to just get the Hexagon's in there by our names in the 1st place.. BUT.. Here is my kicker.. & forgive me if this has already been asked.. Is there a way to include our # inside that teeny little Hexagon? Or is that really not possible? It would look really awesome to see as we look at each name to see them .. I realize that it may not even be a possibility.. but if we can.. Wouldn't THAT be too cool..!!
Just another Meandering Kathie thought as I sit here at work of course!!!

Kathie-
I am not in on all the programming and stuff that goes on with the hexagons, but from my experience of programming websites, I think that if we wanted the numbers within each hexagon, they would have to make an individual graphic for each and every one of us. This would probably take up a lot of server room, man hours, and design time. It's a cool idea, but I have a feeling it's not feasible. Especially since the number depends on when you sign up and could change if you don't renew on time. But that is just supposition on my part.
BTW- Haven't seen you chatting for a while!! Welcome Back!! *hugs*

To get a henhouse set up, the "hen honcho", aka chapter leader should email me a list of chapter members at brenda@maryjanesfarm.org. I will activate all chapter members that are also sisterhood members and you are off and running.
Anybody can read any of the posts in any henhouse, but only sisterhood members will be able to post to their respective henhouses.
If anybody has any more questions, please feel free to contact me at the above email.
