Even though I'm moving soon, I'd love to contribute for Hatteras Island, NC (on the Outer Banks). Once settled, I'll begin work on my new area: Williamsburg, VA. So, add those 2 to your list!

Yippee! Judy, got your email (phenomenal!!!) and Yay, more added!

Yes Please, do Hatteras Island, won't you Vanessa! Especially since I learned so much from you about it--glad I'm not like regular summer(ers?)but I'm sure I missed a lot of great things. And yes, Williamsburg area rocks, so again--yay!!!

Lisa (nubidane), I bet you we can come up with a gazillion different things to put down. I would love it if you would share some of your "westside" knowledge--you know, Chili, etc...you can't GET any better than Price Hill Chili!!! Also, Georgetown and those areas--there's a lot of history, parks, and cool junk/salvage shops and things you know about that I'm sure noone else does!

I can hardly work I'm so excited!

Alright. New Jersey is done. Judy, I am going to send you my "pages" via email so that you can see what it's going to be like. This is a very rough DRAFT, so don't freak out!

Great! Thanks Patricia--we don't have a "roving reporter" from Oregon yet!!!

Basically this: if a few of us Farmgirls were to come and visit you for a weekend, where would you take us--where would you be SO excited to take us? We're like minded girls, we like a lot of the same stuff, usually thrifting/consignment shopping, some of us our "foodies", some of us like animals (farm and otherwise), some of us like antiques, some of us like knitting, some of us like sewing and notions, some of us like shopping for cowboy boots. Whatever you do in your town (and your area surrounding that you think it's just the best!) This could include hiking, this could include bed and breakfasts, this could include garden centers or farmers markets, or fish markets or whatever is unique to your city and NOT necessarily something that mainstream travelers would do.

Since this is a guide to be helpful to our fellow farmgirl travelers, I'd like it very much if you could provide at least a partial address, telephone if you can find it, or a webpage if they've got it. Too, I'd like it if you could tell us a little bit about your city, region and the why each place is so cool to you.

Jonni - I just sent you a few things and I'm going to work on a few more. I've got to sit and think about some place names. I have a picture of the places in my mind but I got to remember their names! I'm bad at that, but I'll figure them out. May give me an excuse to go visit them. Teehee.

Jonni, I used to write travel stories for some newspapers in NY when I was a reporter there. So, how much info do you want on each place we report on - just a brief ppg or longer?

thanks!

I started today on Jersey, and here's what I did with the information Judy provided. First, I did a description page, combining information that she provided--more would be detailed in the listing (almost like a provider listing in your medical insurance book?) So, if you have some biographical information about where you live or where you're sending us "travelers" that would be a great--a small paragraph is perfect...Then for your "absolute must sees", give me a blurb as to why it's so cool...i.e. This bohemian restaurant has 15 homemade soups everyday, with plenty of vegetarian options--my fave is Thai Pumpkin"...something like that.
