Hi,

Just wanted to share this with everyone. Somehow, during the holidays, some homemade cookies got set aside and went a little stale. (Don't ask!) I was able to revive them by using one of those clay stones you put in brown sugar to keep it soft! I just soaked the little stone for 15 minutes in water, dried it, then put it and the cookies in a tightly sealed container for a couple of days.

I have also used this to soften stale marshmallows, with great results.

Lori, You can also place a slice of bread in the bag and it will give moisture to whatever it's surrounded by.

Stephanie, that's what I use when I make cookies that come out harder than I like. I also put a slice in my brown sugar to keep it soft. It works very well.
