UGGG! first it was a dead battery this morning, THEN we got stuck in an ever growing snowdrift trying to get out of the tiny access road that leads to our drive and had to hand dig the car out, which was no fun with my banged up shoulders, but it had to be done. So .... we went nowhere today but we sure got our work outs and it sure was nasty windy and cold. I'm toasty now and curled up with seed catalogues and glad for it!And my sweetie is happily playing some computer game, so no permanent harm done

At the time we were inventing new swear words, but we are laughing about it now and happy to be out of the drifts. I think if you live here, with the famous Palouse wind, you are gonna get drifted sometimes.

It is a toasty 0 degrees here. At least the winds not blowing and the sun is shining. Hey it's winter in New York, I guess you have to expect it! But, surely you have heard the saying if you don't like the weather stick around for 24 hours and it will change? Well, it is starting an upward trend by tomorrow and no kidding, it is supposed to be 55 by Tuesday!!

Last night it got down to 8 degrees here. Had the water at a drip to prevent the pipes from busting. I always put a large bowl to catch the drips and then use the water to water my houseplants, etc. Since I don't need a lot, I'll put it in a plastic jug with a little label and just use that jug to water plants or heat it up and use it to wash dishes since it is just ole tap water.

We are getting more snow right now and got close to 1 1/2 inches. I may venture outside for a tiny bit and take some photos. Hmm...I need to look at my gardening books and get some gardening ideas for this spring!!
