best way I have for treating hiccups when I have them..is to stand as straight and tall as I can..and to inhale a breath as deeply as I possibly can and then to exhale as slowly as I can. I do this deep slow steady breathing until the hiccups pass. It usually works like a charm and I'm over the hiccups in no time.

Tina, I get them all the time--for no reason at all, and they usually stick around for a couple of days or just a few minutes. I was taught to drink "upside down" by my teacher in 6th grade, and I swear to you, that's the only remedy that works for me. You lean over with a small glass of water, and drink from the outer rim--take three sips, not big, just regular, and slowly raise up. I rarely have to repeat, but if I do, it stops those hiccups dead. I used to get them to the point that I'd get a cramp in my neck!!!!

what works for my Daughter is drinking water in a glass glass with a spoon in the water while drinking! wala- hiccups are gone! my mom got my kids a book called Hiccup! they laugh so hard when they do the book- someone usually ends up with the hiccups!! **it's so fun to be a kid, and laugh so hard you pee, your pants. Funny it takes getting old to now that that was fun! now peeing my pants comes more often than a good laugh!! ***

oh Shawna you are hilarious. LOL
have never heard of some of these remedies..they are different for me...but when you need a solution..anything that works..is good.
I cannot imagine having the hiccups for days..ugggh.
I rarely get the hiccups ..but the deep breaths always worked for me though. Can't guarantee they'll work for anyone else though.
Hope that Heather's hubby gets over the hiccups though.
