ahhhhhhhhh .. the last day of this year! as we look back over all the days, weeks, months .. what brings a smile to our lips as we are flooded with GRATEFULNESS?

Our GRANDCHILDREN are at the top of my list! I am thankful for the years that have been given to us to know them and to enjoy them. I love how the tiniest things they do or say make us smile and give us joy.

My list goes on and on and on .. but GRANDCHLDREN are the first thing i think of when i ponder what i am GRATEFUL for.

What are YOU ... GRATEFUL for?

I am supremely grateful for:
The peace I have found through a deep faith in Jesus
My wonderful but sometimes addlepated husband
My family
Clean country breezes in any season
The smell of woodsmoke in the winter and fresh corn on the cob in the summer
The hopes and dreams that keep me going when I could just quit it all and never get out of my sweatpants!

As I look back on '07 I'm so grateful for my family and our health

-my parents and how they raised up brother and me in a Christ centered home

-having a roof over our heads (that FINALLY doesn't leak)and food on the table whenever we want

-friends
-a stable job that I still love no matter how bad it gets on occasion
-space in the country to roam with my dog and land enough to plant gardens
-people willing to fight and die for our freedom

I am grateful for:

My husband
The privilage of being my daughters mother.
Our beautiful healthy grandchildren.
Our good health physically mentally and spiritually.
Our sweet little dachshunds.
Our home and the land it sits upon.
Friends that are truly our family.
Our freedom and our armed forces who sacrifice so much to keep it.
The simple joys of everyday living.
And last but not least my sense of humor that has saved me many times.

So many more....

Grateful list:

**My ever-growing relationship with my husband--getting better each and every day
**our 4 wonderful dogs and 3 wonderful cats
**our snug, lovely little cottage that we can actually afford
**room to roam with our dogs
**a strong beautiful relationship with my mother
**our best friends, the Judges
**our health
**our resourcefulness--planting a garden, conserving, naturalizing. It makes "our" world a better place, and keeps us striving to do more.
