I did in deedie,,,,,
don't laugh, my Autumn blocks are strewn on my floor in my sewing room, I was sewing the strips of fabric 'tween the blocks , or at least I was trying to last night but miss dolly insisted on sleeping on them! I guess she thinks it's her job to keep them from "flying away'! lol!
I am going to peek through some of my quilt books for a cute but easy pattren for me to make the flower blocks...
I still have not assembled my Winter blocks yet, I'll probably get that done come summer and then come winter the flower ones!!!!! oh well better late then never!
I plan to take one of the quilts on my Sisters on the Fly camp outs, to show off all our talents.
Hey by the way, I have 5 acres of snow, can I send ya some!!!?????

Keep the snow grace, mine is melting today! I had 2 acres of it and that was enough for me! Yep, all my blocks will jump into quilts this summer I think. Just wanted to make sure you saw it!

The NW sure has been slammed this year with storms!
Then it comes over and dumps it on Western Colorado. That's fine
with me~the mountains can always use lots of snowpack~we'll be parched come
summer.
Speaking of summer....spring....~when would anyone guesstimate that we'll be doing the Spring/Garden mini swap? I'm going to have Beth (CreateMyWorld) do up a little somethin' somethin' embellishment for me and wanted to give her a roundabout date. Late March-Early April? Does that sound reasonable? Your guess is as good as mine??? LOL

Have you done that survey, can't think of the website~arghhh, where it asks all kinds of questions then gives you a listing of towns that are suitable for you based on your answers?
I gotta find that, I originally saw it posted on a soap forum. Anyway, Cour de Laine, ID came up as my #1 spot. LOL

Ahhhhh girls, mine aren't gonna get mailed out tomorrow, won't be till Thursday. Yes, we had a major storm, at our house we had 12 1/2 inches in 24 hours. That is a lot even for Spokane.
And guess who's electricty has been out. We got to try out our little fireplace and see what it could really do. Beleive it or not in our small mobile, I kept it at 65, shocking!!!!! Yep oil lamps, our stove is propane and fireplace and we were cozy. Needless to say guess who didn't get to sew and is having a drat it day today!!!!

I know I know, I should have checked out my treadle and gotten it fixed up and I could have sewed!!!!!!! Such is life, my mini not whowieee this time. Love the fabric, love the rick rack but couldn't figure out good emblishements. No time now, have to sew like a crazy woman!!!!!!
Love the garden minis, oh just sign me up for each one, I love minis. Yes, I might need the 12 step program, yep a program to do this faster darn it. lol

Going sewing,
and those stories ehhhhh gadssssss!!!!!!!!
Jess, hope your house is well.

I can't believe you are all thinking of the spring minis before the western minis is even posted. Wonder which will come next.

Ok, I admit that halfway through making the minis I begin to question my sanity. I say to myself "This is the last time I spend two days (or longer) on mini aprons." Then, comes the little touches-notes in pockets and little embellishments, and I can't help but want to make more for another swap. LOL

Yea, but Claire....when those adorable little mini aprons arrive in the mail and you hang them (wherever you plan on hanging them....mine are going on my tree in the kitchen)....anyways....when you see those adorable little darlings, you will be ready to devote another 2 days to the next swap. We all question our sanity when we are in the midst of them. But....they are just the cutest and the sweetest thing of all to arrive in the mail. So FACE IT!!...the insanity will continue!!!

Carol Ann....I would love to come and get snowed in at your place....we hardly ever get much snow anymore....we've only had 2 or 3 inches at a time about 3 times so far this year...not enough to even plow. I could use a good old fashioned snowstorm. Today was a warm one here....in the 40's and sunny. I spent most of the day hammering out a new website for our goat babies that are on their way. www.goatsthatfaint.com Feel free to give me some constructive criticism....tis a work in progress...and has taken me about 40 hours so far! Needless to say....no sewing is gettin done these days!! DRAT!!

Carol Sue~even though treadles are user-powered, you need some good light to sew, and candles just don't cut the mustard. You'd have to have some battery powered lanterns or smelly oil burning ones to get good enough light I'd think, but I don't know that sewing would be considered top priority during an outage.(did I say that ??!!) LOL Although, the internet certainly is and those battery powered laptops do come in handy!! hehehe

Oh, yeah, 2 or 3 days on the mini's has you cursing making the little buggers, but Bev is right~I passed on the Xmas one and am sorry that I did.

Oh, and Jess, I know what you mean...I cannot imagine being anywhere else....except perhaps a MJF neighborhood where you all would be my neighbors, and we could get together, swap stories, sew, and get a little crazy!!! Now, wouldn't that be a blast....and we could all take turns helping you out with those kids, Jess....then you would have more time to sew!!! YAY!!!!!
